Subject: IMMOO bike aid stations
Someone that did Wisconsin last year said the bike aid stations did not open the water bottles for you (maybe gatorade too but not sure).

Could this be true? I wasn't planning on having to stop to unscrew a bottle. The races I've done you could just pour the liquid into your aero bottle without having to unscrew a sealed bottle. Does anybody know if this is correct?

I could do some opening with my teeth but not on a sealed bottle and I definitely don't feel stable enough in a crowd to sit up on my bike and let go of the handle bars and then struggle to get it open so I would have to stop if this is true.

Does anybody know if this is correct? I sure hope not because I'm already cutting the bike cutoff close and do not want to come to a complete stop unless absolutely necessary.

Thanks for any information.

To tell you the truth, everything happened so fast I couldn't tell you. I know I didn't stop to do anything and managed to get 'em opened and into my aero.

All of my hand ups last year were open.

I also was handed an open gel, which was a surprise that made quite a mess.

I believe the bottles had a squeeze-top on them.  The volunteers had them ready and all you had to do was flip the top and squirt it into your aero bottle.

They were a squeeze top and they had all seals removed...

Another shout out to the volunteers - awesome job.

The first Gatorade bottle I got last year at IMWI still had the foil seal on the bottle. I managed to open it while riding, but spilled a lot of it on myself and bike when pouring it into my aero bottle.
The rest of them had their seals removed.

All of the bottles I got last year were open.

One warning though, there is an aid station that has a cowboy theme. Whatever you do, DO NOT LET RHINESTONE COWBOY COME INTO YOUR HEAD WHEN YOU GO THROUGH THAT STATION!!! NO RHINESTONE COWBOY!!! IF YOU DO GET IT IN YOUR HEAD, GIVE IT TO THE FIRST CYCLIST THAT GOES BY YOU!! HE'LL APPRECIATE IT!

That song lasted for about 30 miles last year!
