I learn SO much on this site!!! I went to the Yankz site, watched the video and was convinced! Ordered 2 pairs...one for me and one for wifey pooh! I LOVE gadgets!
I have quite a collection of racing flats, one for cross country and indoor track (has optional spikes ). One just for outdoor track (required spikes ). Flats for short courses 10k and under, flats for long courses everything to a marathon. Partly I run in them so rarely that they take a long time to wear out, so many are pretty old, but still work for their intended purpose. Some I never run in, but I keep for sentimental reasons.
In my experience fitting for racing flats is ultra important, they should fit like a pair of socks. Tighter than trainers, but with some room in the toes. I like the sprint test, do an all out sprint in them, if they feel like you have no shoes on, don't move arround, then you've found your pair.
I will wear them in a track workout if I just want to break them in and make sure they don't have any hot spots. |
