Let's log our weight on the cool spreadsheet, but check in here on your progress.

Me...I suck. I gained 4lbs this week. Partly from my girl's weekend, I'm sure, but I hope a lot of that is monthly bloating.

I lost 6 pounds, which completely baffles me. I pulled/slightly tore my hamstring a week ago Monday, so I really haven't been able to do much at all. I have started watching my calories (which also means limiting beer!) but I am still confused. This weekend is going to be full of debauchery (great American beer fest, friend in town, etc.) so next week’s number is not going to be pretty. In addition, for those fans of the Biggest Loser, week 2 is always the worst week.

I'm down a couple of pounds - actually weighed myself a few times this morning to be sure!! I haven't done anything because I've been sick as a dog, but I can't swallow much with this sore throat, so I've been existing on a diet of ice cream and tea.... Maybe this week I'll finally feel good enough to get moving again!

Considering how the 1st couple of days of the month started - (pizza available, cake appearing out of nowhere - you know all the challeges to "will power" discipline etc  - Make a goal and opposition will come)  I didn't do too bad

Lost 4 TENTHS of a lb  Same BF%

I stayed the same.  I think that might be good considering I spent the weekend at a retreat that served delicious scalloped potatoes one night and garlic mashed pototes the next.  To compliment that they had Hershey chocolate cake, french toast, cinnamon rolls, biscuits & gravy, spice cake, white chocolate macadamia nut cookies ... OMG it was good.  We also had our own personal snack table set up in our meeting room.  I came home Sunday figuring I'd get down to business and my husband had 2 pints of Haagen Daz waiting for me just cuz he missed me.  I couldn't hurt his feelings ... so once again, I'm starting over.

What I don't get is that I trained twice as hard to go twice the distance this year and gained weight.  Something doesn't seem fair about that!

Becky, You're making me hungry! I'm trying to lose weight, not gain it!

My weight's the same too, which is surprising considering I've done nothing all week.  Mom leaves tonight so I can get my butt outside -- now that it's supposed to snow!

Let me check... yep, still a butterball.

I've gotten more consistent with workouts than what was normal for me in September, so that's good... but this new sickness may put me on the bench for a couple days. Ugh.

Hmmm...I lost 1.2 lbs. despite my 6 year old bringing 4 boxes of fundraising cookie dough home (and my lack of self control) and my husband buying all those Klondike ice cream bars (and my lack of self control)...and just generally not being able to stick to staying under 2000 calories.  I have been good about taking my Synthroid every day and maybe that's helping more than I thought it would.  Or I'm just lucky this week!

Why is it that every time I try to diet I end up eating crappier than usual?  I come home from working out and eat the worst stuff I can find in the house!  Especially after I swim!  Anyway, blew it again tonight and am frustrated

Oh, I had a net loss of zero....but I'm happy because I gained 3.5 lbs over the weekend and managed to lose it by the weigh in.   I blame it all on my husband!  I'm more focused this week, though....

I'm so glad I weighed in on Monday since yesterday was that one day of the month where there is no way in h3ll I'm stepping on a scale! Sorry if that's TMI. No workout last two days due to work but I'm planning to run at lunch and ride this afternoon.

Great work to the "losers" out there!

I need ideas. I do great all day with my calorie intake, and then I put the girls to bed and binge. Especially when hubby is out of town. Last night I had sherbert and baked cheetos and pecans and a piece of chocolate...

I've tried chewing gum and I still eat. Any ideas on how to resist?

Mel

I've had a bad week as well. No exercise except my bike commute (which I do all out to try to ramp my metabolism--not like it works though) and eating like garbage. I just cannot clean up my diet. My diet really sucks...people at work even commenton what I eat---garbage!

I've tried food logs but then I ignore them when I'm hungry (which is contantly but that is a good thing--grazing all day).

Apples - they are so good right now, they make a great evening snack! If you really want somthing sweet, get some carmel ones and have half of those. You get the sweetness for not that many additional calories.

Brush your teeth!  I lost 38 lbs a few years back and this definitely helped out when I had the late night munchies.  Nothing is worth eating when you have toothpaste taste in your mouth.

I also made lots of sugar free Jello......and then went to town.  You can eat tons of it, it's filling yet innocuous enough, but somehow your brain still feels like you've binged.

Going to bed early helps me, since all I do when I stay up late is drink wine and eat munchies and watch tv.

edited to point out that I'm not following my own advice tho

Still at the same weight as last week but I'm actually happy with that. Very little exercising and too much wine (last week was tough). However had a great workout yesterday, started my morning jog's again and will be back in the pool this afternoon.

I really appreciate all y'all's posts ("all y'all" being the plural of y'all). It's really something how stacked against losing weight our lives really are.
I was in New York City since Wednesday last week until last night- Pizza, Indian Buffet, Deli's, Brunch, Gelato... and not a single workout.
Can't wait until tomorrow morning.
I find I need healthy fats earlier in the day to keep from binging on high calorie items at night. If I don't eat some nuts or avocados or SOMEthing during the day- in other words, if my diet is TOO good during the day- I'll eat mixed nuts by the ton or PB&J or Guacamole OR ALL 3 as a 4th meal.
