Extreme Veteran 400 Douglasville | Subject: RE: St. Anthony's Triathlon : Official Thread Xmann...sent you a private message about meeting up for a swim saturday. Does anyone have suggestions about parking? Any secret garages that are near the transition area we should know about? My swim start is 8:30 am. I guess that the parking garages are too far to walk back to once you have gotten your body markings at 6:30 am?? I also have been told that you need throw away shoes to use to walk to the swim start from the trans area and that anything you shed at the start of the swim, you won't get back? So question is WHEN does the wetsuit rule offically start? I don't want to bring my suit and then at 8 am as I am standing a mile from my car have it announced its no longer wetsuit legal... |

Go to walmart or target and buy some $1 flip flops to leave on the beach unless you have someone withyou who can hold your stuff. I am going to Meek and mighty and will swim saturday probably after that or whenever. SOme of us are going to get dinner t Carrabas 1951 4th st north in St. Pete. No formal arrangements/reservations have been made. We will probab;y go early so usually its not that big a deal. |

Champion 19812 MA | Subject: RE: St. Anthony's Triathlon : Official Thread My husband is doing Meek and Mighty as his first tri and our 14 year old daughter Emily but she has been doing sprints since she was 11. After that I have swim and then short bike/run planned. I'll probably just bike the run course to make sure bike is okay and race wheels are working fine then run. I'd love to swim with others guessing maybe around 10ish...but totally dependant on Meek and Mighty. Probably ride/run later in afternoon. Both Kevin and Emily will be going off in the 15 and over group. Emily is 14 (15 USAT rules) and they are starting with the youngest to oldest in that group and she is nervous she'll be one of the first racers. PM me to exchange cell phone numbers if interested in meeting up to swim or bike/run. |

The best parking spot on race morning is actually on 2nd avenue near the pier. If you plan to get to Transition early, head down 2nd ave towards the pier and park in the Dolphin (I think it's called) lot right before you reach Spa Beach. That way, your car is actually right there at the swim start. Downside is that you have to walk over to transition and then all the way back to your car before and after the race but the upside is that you can wait in/around your car until your wave is set to go off and deal with your wetsuit then. |

Veteran 124 Gibraltar Michigan USA | Subject: RE: St. Anthony's Triathlon : Official Thread OK what is the official schedule for swimming. I like to swim in a group when I can and I need to get a swim in on Saturday. I prefer after noon as I will be getting to St. P later then I would like. Anyone up for a 2:00 PM swim? it will help cool you down as it will be HOT!!! Also, as we are talking about schedules, I see that some people are going to Carrabba's for dinner on Sat. Is this the official BT hang out this year? Thanks E |

Expert 1158 Ocala, Florida | Subject: RE: St. Anthony's Triathlon : Official Thread triorbonk i'm definitely in for a swim and would prefer a group swim as well. there's a few that have shown interest in a swim and i'd be up for anytime that accommodates most. i've already given my cell out to one person via pm and i have no trouble giving it out to others if that helps coordinates things. |

Expert 1158 Ocala, Florida | Subject: RE: St. Anthony's Triathlon : Official Thread well i personally take it easy on my legs mid-week of a race. but swimming is minor impact for me that it doesn't bother me to swim right before an event. plus, i really like to swim the course before race morning. |

Then bike the run course EZ. Take an active person and have them do nothing, there legs will feel more fatigued then doing something. And if you are traveling for any length of time you want to get the legs moving and blood flow going again. |
