Are you stopping somewhere else?  Our flight leaves San Jose at 6:30, and we'll be in Madison around 2.

velcromom - 2009-09-10 4:38 AM This is worse than Christmas Eve.   I CAN'T SLEEP!!!!!   What are you doing up, Phil?

Plane leaves in 4 hours.  Maybe I can sleep on it!

Starting my morning acclimation of getting to bed earlier and getting up earlier for Sun.  Fun.

I would choose to sleep "inside" the plane, not "on" it, myself.

Valid point.  I may go your way.  We'll see.  Cool  Keep forgetting, it's 2 hours later for y'all!

Have safe flights everyone.  I just need to get through one long day at school with 220 alternative students and 400 Secondary Technical students grating on my nerves.  Should be fun.  I am sooo ready to be in Madison.  Planning on being at the swim at 8:00 a.m. tommorow.

In 6 hours we pull the boys out of school, load up the van with everything from the house (hopefully room for my bike), then road trip to Madtown. Should be at the Double Tree by 8:00 pm. The rest of my family (all 12 from the Green Bay area including my IM Wisconsin participant brother inlaw Andy) arrive Friday. Going to be a blast! Will be swimming Friday at 8:00 am. I will be the guy with a blond short,  blond curly long haired 5 and 7 year old boys in tow.

Woot, woot, lets get the party train rolling!

Spending the day "working from home" and packing. I'll have the car loaded up and ready by 6pm so I can pick up my wife (who's racing too!) at the train station and we can motor up. Wow, this is really happening. It's been a year of looking at this thing as soooooo far in the distance, it's crazy that it's actually upon us. Can't wait to get up there though and just soak up the atmoshpere.

Hello all,

I just wanted to stop by and wish y'all good luck.  Those of us in the Florida forum are getting geared up since we are the next North American race and it is great to live a little vicariously through you.  Looking forward to tracking your progress.

I will see what I can do about ordering up some favorable race day weather for you.  Good luck and GO FAST!!!!

Well, the Gatorade swim buoys weren't put out until around 8:00 a.m.

The lake has a nice green murkiness.

Kristin freaked when touching algae on the way out and then back in.

Lotsa fun.

Met up with Robert (bertgwen), Kristin (boo tay girl ), triguy22 and his brother IronGuiness, Craig (Firstnet911), but didn't see Amyjo, and another BT'er who doesn't want bad ju-ju.

More to come!

Ouch. And crap-- I think that's the same thing that's happening to my Guru frame. I noticed a hairline developing there just last week.

The customers freaked when they saw you sporting the new 'do and didn't want to come in?

C'mon down, Davey, and grab me out of my personal he11hole, too.

I just talked with Chris and that is a picture of his felt.   He is in good spirits, since he joked about now knowing what the creaking sound was coming from his bike on our last couple rides.  He has a couple of plans to get it back functional.  1) A local bike shop in Madison says they have fixed it before and he is taking it there now.  2) If that fix doesn't work, there is a secondary fix where you drill a hole through the frame and seatpost and pin the seat in place.  He will also talk with Felt to see if they have any options.

Wow, that sucks, but as he said, "at least it wasn't on Sunday"
