SoCo & Lime?

I love SoCo with anything ... although SoCo Manhattans are my favourite ...

Funny story - I always thought SoCo was a whisky - until I went to buy it at the LCBO.  Apparently it's a liqueur - it took me 10 minutes of looking until I broke down and asked the girl working. 

SoCo and Mountain Dew!!!

I like it on the rocks best though.

Is it me or do any of you associate this liquor with high school / college aged populations? 

Maybe it was just my experience but I can't think of another liquor (maybe flavored rum) that I associate with that age moreso than SoCo

Sort of - maybe not SoCo - I actually didn't have many friends who drank it. Malibu and Parrot Bay are DEFINITELY college liquors. My guy friends used to just drink sh*tty vodka, gin and 151. So that's what I drank. And tequila, crappy beer (PBR and such) and on the occasion, box wine - but the box wine was a cheap way to buy alcohol (and get everyone hammered) for 15+ guys.

I didn't discover SoCo until a year or so ago in my 50's I bought it to use as it in a basting spray for bbq and when I smoke meat,,,,,,,

Most expensive bbq glaze i could ever imagine,,,,,,, that's stuff just evaporates in between grilling/smoking...... and well, ya gotta keep it on hand.

Not that I am a big SHOT girl, although I am quite the party girl, at times, I do love me a good SoCo and Lime shot!
