Subject: RE: Pat's Run : Official ThreadHaving the corrals helped, but it was still crowded and too many people started in the first few corrals that need to start way in the back!!! So I still spent the entire race bobbing and weaving through the crowd! I had low expectations for this race since I am just coming back to running, and since I have been having problems breathing these days!!! But I bought a Primatine Mist inhaler last night, and used it last night, this morning at 3:30 and before the race at 6:30. Seems to help me get rid of the wheezing!!! I knew there was NO way of coming close to last years time of 8:07 min miles, so my goal was to be close to 9, ecstatic if I could be under 9, and I beat my expectations with 35:57 ...an 8:34 min mile. Just about the same as my first Pat's Run 2 years ago. I'll take it!!! |
