The reserve is set at $2000, ( I emailed the seller). What would this bike usually go for? The Comps are around 3k aren't they?

FYI. They had the bike on Craigslist for $2,495 so reserve will be quite a bit higher than the current bid.

edit: I see you now know that.

Don't buy it, it won't fit you!! Seriously, every Specialized I've ever owned (3 so far) has been too long in the frame for me. Unless you're over 5'10" it probably won't fit you too. I love Specialized, but I've yet to find one that fits me (I'm 5'7") Save your money for one you can get fitted for at a bike shop.

Wow this is hard... I tried this bike out less than a week ago at a LBS, was only on it for about 5 min though. If the reserve isn't met I might go back to the LBS and make sure it fits, then shoot him an offer.

How long will you get to ride it even if you go back to your LBS to try it again?  Enough to make the decision anymore clear, prob not.  If you buy it and you don't end up liking it, you can always resell it, no?  I realize that's a pain, but it's an option.

I have one and i love it. It is so cool in the yellow and black. I got the pro so it is red but the yellow is so much better looking like a mad bumble bee. I say go for it but then again i am not the one putting the money down.

I just bought a new Transition Expert and Loooooooove it.  It really rocks.  New that Transition Comp should run you about $2600+ at least.

Sadly...no. I was going to email the guy if it didn't sell. Oh well, sad to see that go. Better for my bank account though!

2009 retails at 3300; 08 was about 3000. 09 has a downgraded cassette and aerobars...BUT has (supposedly) alleviated the problematic brake desgin that plagued the 08s.

Who needs brakes anyway?

Just think of the weight savings.

Not to mention the fact that without brakes you could increase your speeds by several MPH
