Here are the details from a few posts ago explaining it for ya Koachman......
Dean just called me and reminded me that he wanted to leave early-ish to go to Prescott on Saturday for Mother's Day weekend.  So I would be happy to cut down the run and ride. Maybe an hour run with a 90-minute ride? Ride first then run?

Either way, I'll have to make up the rest of the training time in Prescott (yay, hills!).

Ready to run or roll at 6 a.m. sound OK?

and...

I think we are planning on riding down the canal. The path goes under all the major roads you only have to cross the street on two. I believe it goes all the way out to 67th ave before the paved way stops. So it would be about 12 miles out and then 12 miles back.

I haven't had too many problems with pedestrians and dogs usually they are off to the side plus we will be out there way early so i don't think we should have many problems. I know some bike groups ride out there regularly but they leave at 8  and are fast.

I am not going to have time to get out to Phoenix and back in time for soccer this week.  I will just ride around the hood or maybe draft off of Jot for a bit.

Let me see if I can clean up our plans for Saturday morning.  I usually confuse everyone but lets try this.

Start:  South Mountain parking lot off central
Time:  5:30am meet, 5:45 roll out for bike
Bike:  15-20 miles - out and back on San Juan Rd then loop Dobbins
Run:  5-10 mile trail/canal run out and back to the vehicles

So far it may be Kerri, Mel, Robin, Kim, me (run)

Oh I thought we were going to be at Granada park, my bad... Chris if you still want I think I'm going to stick with Granada park. Let me know South mountain scares me.

Thanks Mel.  I think I'm going to join the 2 Wheel Jones ride that starts at 7:00am near my house.  I'm not sure of the route yet, but if you're interested in going I can give you the information as soon as I get it.   I know they have many different levels of riders that go on these rides, so we shouldn't feel uncomfortable and will have people to ride with.

Which travis? It's doubtful this week (broken record here - school sh*t), but not impossible - will be at most of them throughout the summer.

NOTE - However if I do find some free time and am not up too late Friday I may find myself at the SoMo time trial for sh*ts and giggles.

I've been under the weather for two days, and when I get back, I find that everyone has bailed! So I'm going back to the original 6 a.m. LTF Run Club plan at Granada Park...

6 a.m. Granada Park -- meet at the bridge over the canal, run 1 hour
7 a.m. Granada Park -- bike up the canal approx. 22 miles  (someone estimated it's 11 miles one way)

Sorry about all of the confusion...Feel free to join me if you want.

Just bumping this thread back up. Is anyone planning on riding this Saturday morning? I've been slacking on the bike lately so need to try to ride Saturday and Sunday this week-end.

I need to do 5 hours this Saturday.  I've been very indecisive on routes but was wondering if anyone else was riding.  Considering looping around San Tan as an option.

I thought you were riding Sunday?

My plan calls for 3 hours. Not sure what I'm doing yet. I may just ride Pecos since I take my test next week and still have a lot of studying to do (gotta stay close to home to cut down on travel time).
