A bunch of us who are doing the race will be previewing the course this Saturday at 8:45am at Lake Newport (where the race will start). We will bike and run the course. All our welcome - we have both experienced and new people going and will have people there to answer any questions as well.

For those of you that would like to ride after the 12 mile bike/3.1 mile run, there will be a group of heading out for a 2-3 hour ride.

Just got the pre-race info email from Set-Up. As of 5/27 (yesterday), the pool temp is 75 - perfect! Swim times are posted as well.

For those of us who have to make sure we have to save every minute possible, note from the last email the time penalty you will be assessed if you do not have your number visible at the finish.

I saw that.  Any chance we could get any more email reminders?  I count 4 in the last 3 days.

They always say that but I wonder how much they really uphold it.

And yeah, I've gotten like 4 emails today - 2 were duplicates.

I ran the course on Wednesday and there was a lot of mud and debris on the portion of the loop on the other side of Wiehle.  Hopefully either the rain or the race volunteers will take care of that.  They had actually blocked off a portion of the trail with a couple of (not quite trail-wide) barriers, but I was timing myself so I went through anyway ;-)

Debris on the run course? Or the roads? The roads should be pretty clear since those are well-traveled.

on the run course...

It's the portion of the paved trail that's between the cul-de-sac streets (don't know their names - the ones right across from Center Harbor if you are on Wiehle) and the underpass under Wiehle.

Well, they should have that cleared off or detoured on race day.

Setup does a good job cleaning up the course prior to the event and should have the course in good shape for the race.

Did anyone else get one of those Endorphin reports?  I just got mine emailed to me but I'm pretty sure I didn't order it.  Pretty neat though.

Didn't they say they would email free reports if you placed in your age group?

I got an email, but it was a solicitation to order one for $9.95...
