Subject: Muskoka Long Course
Could anyone tell me how I would know if registration is full for the Muskoka Long course next month? I have been to the website but it is not stated. I'm not sure if I will be doing it yet but I would like to know if it is still a possibility to sign up.

Registration is still open which is a good sign. :D Not sure how to know when it's sold out. I am doing Trisport's Victoria's Du and it's expected that registration will still be available on site.  Maybe the long course will be the same ...

Usually if you can get on to the site, register, and give them your money, then you are ok to go

 

Good luck with the race.  Are you planning to do the 70.3 in the fall there?

Thanks guys. I will probably sign up for the Long Course but I'm unsure about doing 70.3 in the fall. I rode the bike course this past weekend in the rain!!   It is a tough course and the hills at the end are brutal after 85 km. I'm considering doing it but it will be my first HIM and I was hoping for one that might be a little flatter. Any Suggestions?

I suggest Steelhead. It is an easy course, rolling enough not to be boring but not difficult, and it is a fairly short drive. I did Steelhead and Muskoka last year and Steelhead is much more appropriate for a first 70.3

Thanks for the advise. I'm definitely going to look into that, the only con right now is that it is a month earlier and therefore a month less of training.

are you already registered for Muskoka70.3? If not, I do believe its sold out.
If you already rode the course, you will be fine if you put in some good training this summer.

Hell, if it was easy, everyone would do it.
