I made it to CDA today- the weather is gorgeous!  After picking up my bike I stood in the water to see how the temp was- it's really not too bad. I've heard so many conflicting temps- someone told me it was only 58 but it definitely felt warmer.  Website says it was 62 degrees today!!!

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone tomorrow at the group swim!

Spent today hanging around the IM, did a swim, 20 mile bike, and took in the energy.  This town is amazing, I can see why it's going to be a great menu for the IM.

See some of you in the morning

Had a minor freak out moment yesterday afternoon.  I was cleaning my bike and found a 6" long split in the carbon seat post.  Fitness Fanatics did not have any QR Luceros in stock but they told me to bring it in and maybe they could steal a post off of one of their other QR's.  Took it in and found a post that would fit.  They swaped it out but it was too late to get hold of QR to find out what a replacement post would cost.  They sent me home with the new post (unpaid for) and will call today to let me know the price.  Very cool of them to stay open a little late to take care of me.  I need to get in a short test ride today just to make sure my fit did not  change with the seat swap.

See you all this morning at the 8:30 swim.

Yikes, better than finding it the morning of the race I guess. Wonder what could cause something like that.

Hey everyone!

Good to meet some of you today.

We rode a loop of the run course after checking in today - actually think we made it all of the way to the bike turnaround? At least I hope we don't have to run up and over that last hill twice?!?!.  I'm planning another swim tomorrow (not sure when, wanna sleep in as long as possible) and then an easy run - probably just the north out and back section and then that's it.  Early dinner and early to bed.

Here's a group shot from this morning.

you can't see me in the picture because there was an Emergency that required the super powers of "CONDORMAN" and I was forced to fly away and save a squirrel from a speeding Ford Mustang.  in reality, I managed to be totally and completely hidden in that picture back on the left.  maybe I'm a vampire and my image doesn't appear on film?

great to meet people today.  if I don't see you tomorrow - best of luck on Sunday - lets do this thing!

It was weird they way up ducked behind everyone when the cameras came out.  I figured it was a witness protection thing.

Great to meet many of you.  It was nice to get some tips from the more experienced athletes.  As if it wasn't obvious from the posts, truly a great group of people.  Forgot who it was I elbowed on the swim, but just think of it as good practice for 'race-day' conditions

Good luck on Sunday everyone.  I'll be in the water at some point tomorrow as well, and plan to do a short run, so maybe we'll cross paths.

Cheers!
