Subject: RE: This is normal, right ?Ha,ha- funny because that's what I've been experiencing too with my IM Cozumel training lately. I never really feel like I'm doing a whole lot during the week and then on Sunday when I see my totals I'm thinking "No wonder why I'm tired and hungry all the time." Try incorporating more protein in your diet to keep you fuller longer. I've been eating scrambled egg whites with cheese and a piece of whole wheat toast for breakfast instead of a bowl of cheerios- the cereal was just making me hungrier. I try to eat fish or chicken with a veggie for dinner and usually drink a glass of milk right before bedtime- I was waking up in the middle of the night absolutely ravenous and couldn't sleep. I'm also back to drinking at least one protein shake a day while I'm at work. And oh yeah- the cottage cheese with fruit on top is a nice snack too! The hubby and I went grocery shopping at Sam's this past weekend and no kidding- we got like 2 of almost everything. Between the 2 of us we are putting a serious dent in the fridge each week As far as being tired- I'm back to my weekend naps and I've been trying to get 9 hours of sleep every night. After me misplacing my iPOD, keys, license, etc. and feeling zombie-ish I figured I needed more sleep. Sometimes the fatigue goes with lack of calories so that could be it. Or just the whole IM training is exhausting itself. |
