Pre-race routine:

Got to Boulder about 6:40, parked my truck, then Lynn's Jeep. Just enough time to wander to the start line. Carolyn found me (scared the heck out of me, too!).

Breakfast was yogurt, a Clif bar, some diet Pepsi...
Event warmup:

None, other than the walk from the parking lot. When I got to my wave, we were packed in pretty well, so there wasn't much room to stretch and warmup.

Comments:

Followed the 'racer's line' around corners and such. Was a little worried about being kicked, joustled and spit on, but didn't really have a problem with that. Had to avoid the slowpokes at the water stations though. Why do people think that WALKING in the middle of the road is acceptable?
What would you do differently?:

Carry a cattle prod to move the slow people.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around at Folsom field, got some water, then went back to the finish lines. Found MikeColorado, we got our lunches, more water, and went to watch the other runners finish.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I would have liked a little more warmth to start, but at least it wasn't raining or windy.

My limitations? Genetics, and not having a very aerodynamic body shape...

Event comments:

If you ever get the chance to run this race, I recommend doing so. The music, the belly dancers, the costumes - it was a blast.

Great run, looks like it's still a little chilly in CO! That should help the pace...

Definately my favorite race. It wouldn't be the same without the belly dancers.
