Me! First half marathon

I'll be there! Training run for Ironman Lonestar 70.3. My friend from Denver is coming down for it too, so I'm very excited. Wish DA would have scheduled the St. Patty's Day tri for Saturday...that would have made for a fun weekend to do both! Oh well..

Doing the Napa Marathon in Cali the week before. I think I'll stick with my Dash Down Greenville race that weekend.

If this is the Dallas RNR Half we are talking about I am in.  I signed up last month.  This will also be a  training run for me as well; getting ready for the LoneStar HIM in April.

I am gonna be out there. Should be a great race!

So, is everyone ready? Can't believe the race is this weekend! Time is flying! Weather looks like it's going to beautiful at 62 degrees!

Very ready!  Easy week of tri training then Rock n Roll.  The weather is looking to be perfect.  I hope that forecast holds up.

I am in. I am using this as a training run for Lonestar HIM. This will be my first 1/2 Mary, I did to Longhorn 70.3 last year. I am looking for someone to pace me or a pace group to pull an 8:20 average pace. I want to negative split it, so would start out a little slower.. If anyone is interested in pacing me or running with me, let me know.. Good luck everyone..

I think I may be interested in joining. I would like to do an 8:20 pace with a negative split. But the 1:52 group might be more of what I need. Where you meeting up? What's the overall plan?

I'm using it as my training for the Lonestar HIM .. errr. I mean Memorial Hermann HIM.. as well. Hoping to get in under 2:00:00 especially after dealing with a pretty nasty bout with laryngitis and an upper resp. infection. If I can stop coughing and actually get oxygen into my lungs, I'll be happy! Ha!

I'm doing this race and I'm nervous as heck!! It's my first 1/2 marathon and I'm a fairly new runner.  I'll be happy to finish it and not feel like my legs are going to fall off.

If my knee feels better I may try to hang with y'all. I'm a bit slower then that, but it'd be good to see what I can do out there - it is my first half and should be good training for Galveston next month!

Hey Jane! Congratulations on going for your first half marathon...it's going to be an awesome accomplishment! The weather is going to be amazing and there are going to be so many bands, runners and spectators to cheer you on, those 13 miles are going to fly by! Best of luck! You'll do great!

I'm in, it'll be the first race with the wifey!  Was looking to hopefully be around a 1:45 but might be a bit slower because of a foot injury, no sense pushing it and ruining the rest of the season. 

I contemplated doing the Rock and Roll Half but felt I needed a bit more running time so I am doing the America's Run Half on April 11th at Dallas Cowboys Stadium. 

A few co-workers are doing the Rock and Roll Half this weekend.
