Hey Good In-10-tions!

Renee has posted the updated spreadsheet for the challenge and right now we're in first place with her scoring system - one more team still has to report in, but we are DOING GREAT!!!!!

Thanks to all of you for being so inspiring and for helping me challenge myself. I'm lucky to be among such a great group of triathletes - wow - what a great way to jump into the BT world, huh?

Now this week is probably going to be harder - we've been at it for more than half a month, yet we can see some time before our final totals - easy to slack off or take a break....don't give in! It's so hard to get the momentum back once it's gone - believe me I know, I am FAMOUS for doing that.

For those of you tapering with races coming up - remind us all here on the thread so we can keep up with you and be your long-distance cheering section! Don't forget to log your race distances or times, too - they count!

As for me, I will push myself to get the running goal in - I've already figured out a place to go run while my car gets serviced on Thursday - there is a park across the street and down a ways. Gotta be creative, you know?

OK, everyone - let me know how you are doing this week!!!!

Hugs to you all,
Annabanana

Oh yeah, I'm not gonna try to do the table in our thread this week - so please take a look at Renee's table and verify your numbers. Let me know if anything looks like it got entered incorrectly. Sometimes it happens!

Come on, give in. Take a break. It's been 2 weeks and you're very very tired. A couple days off won't hurt. Look I'll even do it with you. On 3. Ready? One... Two...

Is that all you got, kausnfxx? Looks like someone might be a bit too tired to even talk smack. Gee I hope you don't fall short of your goal.... But it's okay, because you've got gooood in-10-tions, so we shouldn't expect anything more.

Come on you Crazies, let's get our challenge numbes up there!  We even have some wimp from Team Goofyintentions bending our ears now.  Vito and Vinny won't even have to get their knuckles bruised on this one; I've looked at his log and my 77 year old mother could take him on!

Anyways, where the heck is the updated spreadsheet?  I can't find it anywhere!

Sweet. I tried to look at Renee's spreadsheet, but I don't have Excel. But that's awesome that we're now in 1st place. Go team 10!

I will delay my smack talking and go out and run so that the other teams will have NO DOUBT as to why they got their butt kicked.

With all due respect to you, Michel, I do remember all the help you provided before I purchased my tri-bike.  You might want to have kausnfoot work on his training, instead of his smack-talk.  He seems to be way behind on his goals.

I guess folks want to hang out with the winners so much that they are posting on our thread to encourage their team - LOL!

I am back from a great bike ride - I love my bike....mom called at the last mile and ruined my pace :-p, but had a good report on my new niece who has no thyroid function - one pill a day and she'll be fine (she's about 5 days old).

Now to do more yard work before picking up DS and a playdate with some friends at our house!

So don't take that phone on your ride! Its your ride, not your mom's. But at least it was good news.

Go team 10!!! You know what I love looking at? That little calender next to my training log that has 2 yellow days for every week and 5 beige-ish days. That means I actually worked out the exact amount of days I needed to. Its kinda nice to see that calender looking like it should, instead of pretty empty like a lot of my training calenders in the past.

What's with all the smack talkers all of a sudden? Hmmm. Its nice to be winning. We are still winning, aren't we?

Hey Joe, I was only responding to Kausnfxx's comments with some "good natured" ribbing.  A bit of rivalry between teams is fun and stimulates participatction.   Ciao ... :-

Oh, I'm all for a little sporting smack talk.  I just didn't want to hijack your thread, and have you think it was personal.  Of course, looking at his goals, and completed training, I think you have an anchor slowing your team down...

Ok Good In-10-tions, here's a great weekend to rack up some time/miles going into the last week. Yeah, I know it's hot/kids activities/drinking/etc., but we are in the lead and in site of the goal. Also, everyone racing this weekend, have fun and I hope you hit your goals.

Hi gang!

Remember to send me your totals today, or update your logs and I'll find them there. (It's a lot easier if you send them to me, tho') - I am hoping to add a swim and run in today myself - if I can find some motivation in this hot sticky weather!

We ARE an awesome team, and I hope to see us in first place again this week, and ending up there after next week! Hey, that reminds me - I'm heading to the beach next weekend and not sure we'll have internet access there. Is there one of you who would volunteer to send Renee our final totals next Monday? I'm going to be sure to hit all my goals (fingers crossed) before we leave Saturday morning, but if I have internet access can add another run or two since that's what I'll be doing at the beach. Anyway, let me know if you can help out.

Chris should be back this week, too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I think we'll have a race report or two, huh???????

Oh yeah, Renee decided to go with the average of everyone's percentages instead of that poitn system for scoring. You can't go over 100% in any sport (well, it doesn't count) but a 97% won't count for nothing! I KNOW YOU ALL CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's wrap it up in style, gang - GO GOOD IN-10-TIONS!!!!!!

Annabanana

p.s. I'll start a new thread tomorrow for the final push.

Morning Team!!

I dont' know how I did it but I've managed to get to exactly 75% of my goal thsi weekends.

here's my totals

Bike 270 of 360 mins

Run 135 of 180 mins

Swim 270 of 360 mins.

Ann I'm quite happy to forward the totals to Renee,  however I'm on a different time to you guys so it would be sent over either 12 hours before or 12 hours after.  I'm quite happy to do it if thats cool.

Go Team  One week to go!!

Sorry guys, I didn't make 75% of my running goal. I now have shin splints. So I'm doing some pool running, and I'm counting it as my land running. But I made my swimming and biking goal already. Go team 10! We're gonna win this!

Yo team!

We're in the home stretch, and it's time to get 'er dun!

Capn' Bannana, here's my totals for the last week. It was a taper week with a race at the end of it, so thet look a bit low, but I will hit my goals, come hell or high water.

S - 4500m this week - 8000m total - 11500m goal(3500m to go)

B - 60k this week     - 466.24k total - 480k goal (13.76k to go)

R - 19.5k this week  - 87.1k total   - 140k goal (52.9 to go)

Let's go team! Finish strong!

Team Ten you are all doing so awesome! I am really proud to be a part of such a supportive and motivated group - it has helped me so much to keep on track and keep training during the hot summer.

Hey Chris - welcome back! We really missed you too!

Splerph - if we don't find a volunteer who's on the same day as Renee (LOL) I'll take you up on the offer to send in our totals. I would think the 12 hours later would be best as we have some folks (me included) who like to squeeze in that last bit on Sunday evening...and too funny about the exact 75% - for me, the challenge is enough to push me to be exact - I just missed it on the run, but the rest are pretty close.

JodiLynn - you take care of those shins. I was reading about your pain in your log and having flashbacks to my own tibial stress fracture from overtraining many years ago - not fun....pool running is a great alternative.

Brent - WHAHOOOOOOO on your race - wow! 3rd in AG, 5th overall - you ROCK! As for the totals, do they include the race distances? Because they should! I like your new avatar, too.

OK gang - time to pay bills, order DH some new running shoes, order me some vitamins, do some laundry, run the dishwasher, make breakfast and lunch for everyone, get DS up and off to summer school/camp, and then RUN!!!!! Whew, I'm tired already and it's only 6:30am....

Annabanana, that sounds like a pretty busy day.

Chris, I'm glad you're back. Team 10's just not the same when some of our members are missing.

Home stretch guys!!! We can do it!!! Let's win this thing and get to pick which charity everyone else's money is going to!

big hugs,
