If you heard a guy say "Go Brett!" around Mile 18, that was my husband.  We definitely saw you go by, unless there were more wearing one.  I did also see a guy wearing a custom purple tech shirt with the number 4 on the back and something like "don't ask it's a long story" below it. I think he lost a bet.

bscharff - 2010-10-04 12:31 PM what a great day and a beautiful course...!!!  i had a blast out there... i decided to wear a brett favre jersey for the marathon and the crowds were great...!!!  I went into this thing with no expectations due to lack of training and some injuries...  started out with the 3:40 group...  steadily picked up the pace over the first 5 miles... and felt great pretty much the entire race...  ended up running a 3:11:27...!!!  and feeling pretty strong at the end... very happy with the race and the result...!!!  fun time...!!!

Wow!  Great performance, nice job out there.

x2 - great job!!!

thanks everyone... sounds like there were a bunch of good performances/races out there...

i've never heard of a chip dying before... that's strange... i've had them not register at mats before... but i think they generally have the double mats at the finish to make sure that doesnt happen...?!? regardless, thats pretty hardcore to tee up the marathon that soon after your ironman... nice work...

I saw that guy a couple of times, but never thought to ask...since the shirt said "don't ask".

Just wanted to show the video from the last 2 years of cheering at the marathon as a chicken. The 2009 and 2010 videos can be found here:
