If the temp stays at 76, I wont be wearing one.  I don't have a sleeveless and it would be to warm for a full suit

Even at the worst I have seen (high 60's and rain), we are going to have some great weather. Rain is no fun, but it beats trying to race in 90*+ weather.

I rode 3 hours on Saturday and it was in the mid-60's when I started. I wore socks (which I normally don't do on the bike), and arm warmers. About an hour in, I was warm enough that I stripped the arm warmers and wished I could have taken off the socks. I'm new to arm warmers so I stopped along the side of the road to take off the arm warmers - not sure if I'd be comfortable enough trying to yank them off on the go.

So, that said, I'm bringing arm warmers, but I probably won't wear them and just be a little chilly for the first hour or so of the ride.

Now this would make an amazing day even more amazing!!!  Should I be considering long sleeve for the bike?  Maybe arm warmers? What are you all thinking?  If it's going to be a high of 68, that means we will be starting the bike in even cooler temps than that...Possibly high 50's...brrrr..That sure seems cold after the last few weeks of training in over 80 degrees....

50s is too warm for a long sleeve.  Arm warmers would probably work but I doubt I'll even need that.  It would have to rain all day and be 50s to consider long sleeve.  Of course I say that now but I always overdress when it is debatable, and regret it later.  Except this time. :-)

Are you just guessing what time the meeting part will be?  I'm not terribly interested in the banquet itself.

It was a neat surprise to see Mike Reilly pop up today.

Did I hear right that the blue line painted on the roads is for year round running?  That's great but it doesn't follow the whole run course so I'm a bit confused.  We were also confused as to what they were telling us about the blue line during the race.  It sounded like they wanted us to stay to one side of the line maybe because bikes were coming on the other?  I saw a blue line off route 117 too so this whole blue line thing doesn't make sense.

I think we are supposed to treat the blue line like a center line.  On the bike, stay to the right of it, I only saw it on the St Jovite out and back section.  On the run, stay to the left of it.  Better yet, just follow the people in front of you.    

I didn't really get the year round thing either...  maybe just as a guideline to indicate the road section to the trail?  I dunno

Edit to add - there won't be bikes coming down the other side of the blue line on the run, just other runners on the return leg.  I think there is one way car traffic on the other side of the road.

Ok this all makes sense based on what you said, thank you! That's why the blue line on the run ends at the little trail piece where we run on the trail on the way out, but on the road on the way back.

I'm excited, this is going to be a good race.

I was wondering, it the athlete guide they say that we can not leave anything next to our bike in the transition area. But can we leave our shoes ON the bike?

This is unclear in the athlete guide =/

I still feel like I've been run over by a truck.  Feet survived intact (no blisters), but most everything else waste down hurts like hell.  And oddly, the roof of my mouth hurts when I try to eat.  Been very limited in one I can actually get down today.

After the second bike loop rigor mortis set in. The run
soon became a death march.

Beautiful setting and a very well run event. The
hills in the Lac-Superieur region were tougher than I expected.
