Subject: RE: Ironman Mont-Tremblant : Official ThreadAh yes, the hourly check of the forecast as race day approaches Even at the worst I have seen (high 60's and rain), we are going to have some great weather. Rain is no fun, but it beats trying to race in 90*+ weather. I rode 3 hours on Saturday and it was in the mid-60's when I started. I wore socks (which I normally don't do on the bike), and arm warmers. About an hour in, I was warm enough that I stripped the arm warmers and wished I could have taken off the socks. I'm new to arm warmers so I stopped along the side of the road to take off the arm warmers - not sure if I'd be comfortable enough trying to yank them off on the go. So, that said, I'm bringing arm warmers, but I probably won't wear them and just be a little chilly for the first hour or so of the ride. |
