Event warmup:

Sitting in the car with the heater cranked, right up until 10 minutes before the race when we jumped out and jogged for 5 minutes and did a little light stretching. I've gotten used to getting on the stationary bike for at least 10 minutes before running, so I felt cold and tight when the race started.

Comments:

Cold. Couldn't really warm up properly because the outside temp. was 35 at the start of the race. Took the first mile to feel warmed up and comfortable.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, this was just a training day.

Warm down:

Walk around, stretch, eat bagels, drink some beer.

Event comments:

This was really just an excuse to do a training run. Hilly course, cold weather, tried to just settle in and run a low HR 5K while holding good form. I think I did that pretty successfully. Avg. HR was 139.

Pretty impressive for having knee surgery not all that long ago!  Nice work on the run!

As I type this you're probably rewarding yourself for a successful run with Jaeger-bombs while tailgating for the CU football game. Well done! Except for the jaeger-bombs - those are nasty!
