Comments: Well, the plan was to start out SLOW - 9ish minute first mile and descend thereafter. First mile? 7:40. Ooops. It wasn't my fault though! Trix was right behind me and she was suppose to keep me in check! A couple of times between mile 1 and 2 I almost broke away from Trix, but I fought the urge (and Trix had a few choice comments)! I started tiring at the 2.5 mile point, but held strong to the finish. Trix hit her "extra" gear at the end and POWERED past me! What would you do differently?: I don't have the endurance, leg strength, or access to my "extra" gear just yet, so I'm happy with my result! That said, I sure WANTED to let it rip as I felt smooth for the majority of the race. :) Post race
Warm down: Ate a YUMMY bagel and chatted with Trix inside the Jenison Building. What limited your ability to perform faster: I've been on the DL for a long freakin' time! AWESOME to be RACIN' again. I'm such a CRACK ADDICT. Event comments: Great time! :) Trix ROCKS, BTW. :) Last updated: 2006-04-23 12:00 AM

Hung out with Trix! Gave her some swimming tips as we watched swimmers at IM Circle.
The race took place near the complex where I stayed as an undergrad. :) Plenty of memories. :)
Did roughly a mile w/u with Trix. The w/u definitely helped to loosen my tight calves and got the motor running.
