I for one am not missing out this year:

Registration will be available at Active.com on November 16th at 10:00 a.m. EST. Mail in application will be available for download online on November 15th. Please note that registration filled for the 2011 event in 24 hours! Mail in entries will be received based on postmarked date. If event fills online, mail in entries & checks will be returned.
Race is limited to 400 runners
No refunds!

5th Annual Red Top Rumble 11.5 Mile Trail Race & 1 Mile Kids Trail Trot

Start Times
Sunday, February 5, 2012
8:30 AM EST – 11.5 Mile Trail Race
10:15 AM EST – 1 Mile Kids Trail Trot

Where
Red Top Mountain State Park, located off I-75 exit# 285, 45 minutes North of Atlanta in Cartersville, GA. Once in the park, go past the visitor center to the start of the Iron Hill Trail. Entrance to the parking lot for the Iron Hill trail will be on the righthand side of the road.

I was pretty sure I was going to do this until I noticed how soon after my first ultra trail race it is so I am out and wish all you cool kids the best! Mtn. Mist 50k is on 1/28.

I am in, one of my favorite races. I believe this sold out very quickly last year, only 400 slots available, so don't wait if you want in.

My favorite race.  It's tough, but it gives me an accurate assessment of my run fitness.  I intend to kick it in the nuts this year.

 

If anyone has an extra number let me know, I need one for the captin.  The fella was out doing family stuff and missed it.

I got in but it was close.  I was in meetings all morning and didn't think it would be appropriate to tell the group I needed to take a break so I could register for a trail race.

I think last year Big Peach had numbers if you buy trail shoes.  Not sure if they are doing that again but could be an option for Captin.

I am in! And so is my sister. She did her first trail race last weekend at Serenbe and loved it. I am super excited to run with her.  She doesn't do many races even though she has been a runner almost as long as me.
