4km trail run tonight in my minimalist trail shoes, very relaxing and knees feel great. I normally don't run on consecutive days because of injuries so this month of easy barefoot running has been interesting!

I am really not catching a break here.  First, I get the flu.  Then, I dislocate my ankle.  Now, I have a cold.  I still got my run done, though.  I haven't missed a day during this challenge!  Blah!

You can't catch a break!

I didn't run today. :-( But if hiking counts, we hiked up the Hollywood Trail from Griffith Observatory this noon -- two hours of intense hiking -- and only three miles. My legs are no longer on speaking terms with me.

And I had to carry my 5 year old every few hundred yards on the way down because he "can't take another step." :-)

I think that counts for more than a one mile run!

My sister used to collapse on family walks saying " I've got the bends..." as her knees dramatically gave way.

I squeezed in a quick 2 km tonight, streak nearly over.

I'm not going to quit streaking!  Who's in for a streak until spring?

I'm definitely in.

Ran almost two miles this morning before we took off for Malibu. On the way, we did some hiking at one of the movie ranches and did some easy rock climbing -- where if you fell, you fell into a pond. A little scary with a five year old, but he was pretty proud of himself for making it up to a ledge and back down again.

I want to live in Malibu.

Good morning! I agree...no more surf & beach talk! Ah, just kidding...pure jealousy!I'm not sure if I will continue...I'm following a pretty aggressive marathon plan and I'm thinking there will be days that I just won't want to run a step. But if a new thread is started I will check in as well. After all, we're hardly strangers now, we've seen each other streak! I'm not sure if any of you are tri 'newbs' but I am starting a mentor group called Kim's Krew of Newbs. It'll be open for business on Jan. 1!Sorry for the smushed paragraph...wrote this from my Nook.

Sounds fun, Kim. I'm already in a mentor group, although I told them I'm not doing anything with it until we get back from vacation.

Ran for about 20 minutes at Vasquez Rocks this morning. It was fun. Did some scrambling up the rocks after the run. Boy was I stinky. For all of our climbing and searching, we didn't find the Gorn.

Whew!  Almost done!  I've missed one day due to this stupid cold.  Not bad with all of the illness and injury I've endured this month.  Streak On!!! Kiss

We have been one heck of a consistent group!  Way to go!

Later today I'll do a 4 mile run...thinking about a nap first!  I was out late last night (12:30am--that is sooo late for me!) so I do believe I need a nap!  I'm such a granny.  Anyhow, four miles today...final run for the challenge will be 13 tomorrow!

Good job to all and have a wonderful New Year's Eve!

New years day beach run done, legs feel fine and for me the streak is over!

Thanks for organizing this, it's been a really good time for me to experiment with my running.

I've got an ocean swim in 3 weeks and an Oly in 12 weeks so I need to get back to SBR. Have a great year!

Well, I was doing pretty good until the last couple days. We were driving a lot; I was sick; and no running was completed.

I still feel pretty good about the attempt because of all of the traveling we did. We were gone 18 days.

Great job to all of you!

My streak ended on January 2. Glad it did though. Was starting to get a little OCD with it. Good fun, great way to end the year.
