Just got back from a weekend on the Gold Coast, we stayed in a great hotel for the kids, one of the pools is a lagoon style one with sand and beaches and stocked with tropical fish from the Great Barrier Reef!

I managed to get a quick 2.5km on the hotel treadmill late on Friday night, I ran it barefoot and picked a random hill course which was interesting; I haven't used a treadmill for years!

Saturday I ran 5 laps of the pool complex whilst the kids played in the spa and then Sunday I got up at 5:30am and had a great 12km run along a track behind the beach and into a nature reserve in the dunes. I ran the last 4k barefoot along the beach.

Christmas next weekend!!!

Alright finally got my monthly mileage to just over 10% increase.  The plan I had originally put in was almost 40% over last month and that was too heavy.  Now I just need to hit my long runs and plan on hitting it hard in January!

See no reason to stop running every day in January either - so if anyone wants to continue/restart after New Years Eve let me know - I am game!

Sign me up...we'll need another catchy title!

I'm in, too. I love running every day, even if it's just a mile.

Ran with my friend this morning -- 3.57 miles. I was worried I was slowing her down, but she was panting and sweating. I'm really going out on a limb tomorrow -- I'm running with her running buddies. We are planning on six miles -- she promises I will be just fine. We'll see.

ETA: Oh, and my runs include lots of hills here. I actually like running on hills. It's tough, though, especially since I have no experience with hills -- only experience is in races.

Nice little beach run again this evening; I think I should be ok to continue after New Year; I normally have one rest day per week when I'm training for a tri, do you think an easy 1mile run is still a rest day?

Streaking is still continuing (and much appreciated )

I am not creative so I will leave the cool naming stuff up to the creative streakers - I am a meat and potato type streaker myself.

I think streaker is going to be my word of the day

Streaker Bill out!

You're hilarious, Bill!

I'm still streaking even though it is painfully (literally) slow.

You are my Streaker Hero this week - how are you running after dislocating your ankle??????

Kudos (or you need committed ) to you

Thanks, however, I'm not running.  I'm walking/shuffling my mile to keep the streak alive.

The streak is alive in Boise Idaho! Went for a brisk 4.5 mile run through the streets this morning. Even though it wasn't a busy traffic morning it was so loud to me...I am so used to running in the desert silence! It was kind of cool seeing and hearing the city come to life.

I shuffled (with a little running) through another mile.  I'm getting better.  I just need to be careful.

I had my first run today in my new NB Minimus trail shoes, they're great!

I was impressed at how light my legs felt when I was running up steps and also at how they protect your feet but still allow you to feel rocks or sticks under your feet so you still have to tread lightly.

This evenings run was along a sandy cliff top trail looking out across the ocean, very relaxing! (5.6km)

Still streaking.

About 12 miles in the last three days. We will be in Anaheim tonight and for the next couple days, so I will go back to my 1.5 - 2 miles a day until we get to Riverside this weekend.

We went whale watching yesterday -- ended up in Mexico -- I'm pretty sure the captain wasn't supposed to do that, but we were following two whales for about 90 minutes. We saw thousands, literally, of dolphins, and hundreds of sea lions. We had a lot of fun.

I filled three barf bags, so it wasn't that much fun for me, but I still think it was cool. The water was super choppy -- it was almost impossible to walk and people were falling out of their seats. We were hanging on for dear life.

That is awesome! I hope it continues to improve quickly.

Ran 1.41 miles this morning (well, yesterday morning, now. Yikes!) on Harbor Blvd, alongside Disney.

We spent 17 hours at the park today. It was amazing. I totally drank the Disney Koolaid.

My legs are killing me. I may not be able to walk tomorrow.

I love the shoe!  Did you get the "water resistant" newer style or the original model?  My originals ended up 1 size too small so I traded them for the water ones for the winter.  Super Comfy Shoe!!

Streak continued last night for me - 2.1 miles at an easy pace!

Are those the grey ones. I have the yellow ones and I had a free pair from a race and they showed me what they called the "winter ones" anyway, got a pair, haven't used them yet.

They are awesome. Be careful running in them though. I have a history of PF and if I lose concentration can easily strain my PF, even while walking.
