What a beautiful collection. Have you any youtubes of you or your band? You ought to post the band logo again, too; it's very cool.

I'm not a particularly good musician, but have made my beer money here and there (and I used to drink a LOT of beer! ) Mostly I've sung in small choruses or bands. I'm a pleasant but mediocre solo singer. Here's a pic of my current group before singing at a fashion show (the point was for us to be in the background and plain-looking).

I'm a terrible composer but pretty decent at arranging; I am very proud to have arranged the (so far) most-performed four-part harmony of the Indonesian national anthem. Attached is a pic of the notation software I use (free! it's great once you learn the input codes) ... that's my "instrument," I guess.

Also attached is the piano I've had for 30 years. She is my baby and I love her dearly. Again, not a great pianist but I can hold my own on the demo keyboards at the mall. That's Scott Joplin's "Entertainer" on the music stand.

Also a bassist here. 

I have reduced my cattle of basses down to what, 6 now. 

My main gigging basses are a pair of lakland 5 strings. 

I have a 55-01, , but I replaced the p'ups with big splits, and also replaced the pre amp with a east SP2 ( http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/East_SP2.html) 

Love the sound on it! 

I also have one of these badboys , the Lakland Owners Group 2010 . One of 30, and only 1/15 with a rosewood neck. 5 String P bass copy and delicious. Unfortunately someone knocked a leader a bit hard when it was plugged in and knackered the jack so thats a job for me at the weekend. I've always loved P basses, but have (until this) never found one that actually looks good as well as sounding and playing good!

I also have a black Hohner BBass4, which has been defretted previous to my ownership. My first bass still lives on my wall, an Ibanez Gio GSR80 or something, and i have a project that i'm working on which is an Aria Pro II fretless that need some serious attention (one of the tuning pegs had a screw snap off inside th head, took it for free in order to repair.)

Also have a really bad , really really bad (intonation screwed after 5th fret) acoustic bass that i pickdd up for a 10er. its cool for figuring stuff out on without loading up an amp.

Here you see my main gigging amp/cab. Very lightweight setup, designed to be able to carry amp on hand, cab other and bass on back. The cab is INSANE and will run an 800 W amp at 4 ohms into a 1x12.

I don't have pictures on this computer, so all I can do it tell you that I have a double bass with a pick-up that I can't remember what the name is.  I also have two electric basses, one is a fretless that I purchased after buying my double bass and really liked the fretless, so I went out and found a fretless and play that more than the other.  Now I only really play the double bass in our acoustic three piece.  If I find the pictures, I will post them up.

Great topic. I love to try and play as many instruments as i can. The main instruments i play are:

1 Riqq = midde eastern tambourine with a head on it.Which is the head of the music

2 Djembe = African Drums

3 Darbukah= Middle eastern drums

4 Frame drums

Well basically any kind of drum i play..

The next set of instruments i play but wish i could be a pro.

1 Oud = which is a 12 string bowl back fretless middle eastern Guitar

2 Berimbau =  Brazilian 1 string instrument  Used for Capoeira.

My wife steered me over here due to my severe case of G.A.S.  (I should mention that she has 7 bicycles, which does out number my bicycles, if only by 2)

I consider myself number one a drummer, number two a bassist, number three a guitarist, followed by banjo and keys.  I could probably also still play a sax or flute if someone handed one to me.  I'm currently playing drums in a 7 piece band called Full Sail (jazz, light rock).  I also play in an occasional side project (in which PirateGirl sings) called Inches of Fish, where I primarly play guitar, but our last gig was at a country theme night for which I played bass, including the upright on a couple rockabilly songs.  I'd probably be pretty good at something if I'd focus on one instrument, but it's some much more fun to play lots of instruments.

Starting with the drums.  Kit is a Mapex Saturn, I have the full 7 piece but I generally set it up as 6 at home, and 4 or 5 at gigs.  Snare on the kit is a Mapex Black Panther Cherry Bomb (5.5x13), the kit snare is in front, which I have set up as a jazzy, washy snare.  Also in front is my Pearl Championship Series Carbonply field snare, just becuase I love the sound of a field snare an spend a lot of time doing rudimental practice on it.

Basses.  From left to right:

• Ovation Celebrity (yes, they made solidbodies for a few years) P/J bass.  I've had it about 20 years, and de-fretted it a few years ago.  I re-radiused the neck while I was at it, and it actually plays way better now than it ever did with frets.
• Gretsch Electromatic Broadcaster.  This is a very new member of the family, as PirateGirl bought it for me for Christmas.
• The upright is a Southwest Strings label (Klaus Mueller) Chinese plywood bass.  The advantage to having Southwest Strings here in Tucson is I played 5 different basses of this model, as well as a few of the carved top model above it, and got to choose the best.  Currently has a Rev Solo pick, though I have also used a K&K Rockabilly pickup on it.  Currently strung with Innovation Rockabillies, which bow horribly, but I'm a hack with a bow anyway.
• Kala U-bass.  Another Christmas present, this thing is super cool.  Standard bass tuning with giant polyurethane strings.  It has a piezo bridge pickup and through an amp you would never believe the sound is coming from that little thing.  Way fun to play.
• Warwick Infinity SN5.  This is just a first-class instrument, just an amazing bass.  Radiused zebrano body, deep set ovangkol neck, wenge fingerboard.
• Ibanez SRX-something-or-other.  Had it for around 8 years.  A nice bass for the money.

The Guitars (and a banjo)

• Gold Tone banjo.  I've been know to play it at Tris while Elaine is out racing
• Fender MIM Strat.  1991 built, I've had it since '92.  A decent guitar, but is getting to be in need of a fret job.  I think this will be the guinea pig for my first full fret job.
• Gretsch 6120 Brian Setzer Hot Rod.  I mean, really, is there any cooler guitar out there?
• Gretsch Rancher Western.  With the pickup and Fishman pre.  I spent a long time at the shop going back and forth between this and a Taylor.  The Gretsch won out because everyone has a Taylor.

The amps

• Peavy Express 112.  Have had it 20 years, and it still works.
• Ampeg BA115.  Bass practice amp.
• Egnator Renegede with a Tourmaster 2x12.  Nice all-around amp, does everyting I could ever need to do.
• Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 w/ 2x10 cab.  Great bass amp.  Light and easy to transport, and sounds at least twice as big.
• Sitting on top of the Egnator is a chassis from an early '50s Gibson GA-50.  The amp was originally a combo (which if I had would be worth some serious money), but I just use it as a head.  With low output pickup (like the strat), it is super smooth and full.  But with hot pickups (like the TV Jones on the Hot Rod) it turns into an awesome rockabilly amp.

The Piano.  This is PirateGirl's grandmothers Ivers & Pond upright, circa early '20s.

We got the piano just over two weeks ago. I'm getting better and better at it each day.

I got kicked out of band in the 6th grade and put into choir where it was suggested that I stand in the back and hum.  I should get paid NOT to torture others with my lack of musical talent! 

No pics, but I got a used bass for christmas (and definitely not as nice as the ones posted).   Im referring to this as 'mid life crisis #17', but I decided that I want to learn an instrument so I can (hopefully) play with a couple friends. 

I've only been at it for a little over a week, but I just learned 'Down on the Corner' by CCR and can play along

I play the radio, does that count?
