That's just incredible!!!  I always thought she was incredibly HOT, but who knew she was as cool as Bear?!

Someone else mentioned this too, but it really does speak well for triathlon's professional athletes that Jessi would do that.

Wow! Hi Bear! Glad the photo got to you, thanks Chris Great to meet you at CMM.

Just got the heads up that this thread was going on and wanted to say hi!

I love BeginnerTriathlete.com and always reference it when i get questions from beginners...that, and of course Active.com !!!

I've always thrived on the interaction between athletes of all levels in our sport...and as we all know, it's just not like that in all sports! I'm surrounded by inspiration...especially Beginner Triathletes! Whenever i get the opportunity to swap inspiration, especially in person, it's awesome.

All of us elites or otherwise can very vividly remember our first races, or how we were inspired to start doing triathlon. I came from the sport of swimming where, I was 'old' at age 21 in college. I'll never forget my first ITU world champs 2 years later as an amateur at our Team USA meeting, and one of my new teammates i was sitting next to was 70+ years old! (7 years later - its not so surprising, but definitely still inspiring!) I also remember when, as a complete 'newbie,' i attended a Multisports.com camp back in 1998. Prior to the camp, when i would tell people i was going to a triathlon camp where so many of the best pros in the sport would be, the answer i got was, "yeah, it'll probably be like the soccer camps where the say Pele will be there, and he shows up for 1 hour during the entire week." Not even close!! Within the first day...they were my best buddies (Paula Newby-Fraser, Roch Frey, Paul Huddle, Mike Pigg, Jurgen Zack, etc.) and its been the same since. They set the standard, and i hope that its not lost as our sport continues to grow and grow and grow (thanks to websites like beginnertriathlete!!)

So...to everyone at Beginner Triathlete, THANKS for the inspiration...See you at the races!!
