Got a swim this morning , i had been leaving it to later in the day to go swim at the end of last week
and stuff would always come up . I missed it and felt bad . Doing it first thing i the morning makes my day start better .

Alright!  I'm back!  I updated the spreadsheet.  I hope I estimated my miles/yards correctly due to being out of town and unable to ride and swim.  Yep, those are definite limiters this month!  I hope the rest of my Leipheimer teamies are doing good!  Cheers!

Another swim this morning. First time this month my swim sessions have exceeded my bike sessions (8 to 7). Of course this would not have happened if I hadn't skipped yesterdays bike workout to take a nap.

Well, if they could get the PH balance right in the pool . . . tough to swim when it's been closed for a full week.

I don't have any excuse at all for not jumping on the trainer for a session. Just cranky about the pool, I guess. :-)

not gonna make my run goal still having some ITB issues and dont wanna risk major injury that will keep me from my 50 mile run in April. Found a great deep tissue massage therapist and have been foam rolling alot.

Now that the pool is open, I have been making great progress on my swims. I should also be able to make the trainer sessions -- I still have a love/hate relationship with that thing. I want to get outside and ride.

That's funny, I used to have a hate/hate relationship with the trainer. Jorge's program this year has almost turned it into a love/hate. Also looking forward to get outside and see what I can do.

Not sure how I would classify my relationship with the pool. I think at best we tolerate each other. But I should hit my goals for the month, though I may need the extra day to do it.

Hey, all -

I'm going to hit my run goal (yeah me)...the limiter (tracking my eating) has been, not surprisingly, harder - I'm at 9/16 and hope to get at least a couple more days, but there's just not enough days left in the month to go 100%.

It's been great to force me to do it, I just need to do it more.

I made my swim goal. It was low, but since I have a hard time getting to the pool, it was actually harder to get once a week plus one in.

The running goal was on target until I pulled my muscle in my leg last week. I hobbled twice since then (can't call it a run) but, even if I get a run in a day, I won't make my goal. Sorry, I really tried.

Yikes!! End of the month already and i got seriously sidetracked with 2 jobs and a college trip.

One more day to squeeze in a session or two before February is over . The Good news is a little break from running has done wonders to my knee.

Well, this month sucked. I'll get close with my run goal (81 miles out of 83 miles planned) by the end of today, hopefully. The tracking-my-eating-limiter goal...not so much.

Thanks for running the challenge - it definitely highlighted what I already knew - I suck at eating right.

I just got back to the pool from my 17th and final swim of the month, meeting the primary goal I set. Throughout the workout I kept thinking of it as a celebratory swim.

Progress was definitely made, while I only swam a total of 26.5k. I did meet some sprint type goals I set for myself in January. Decided that I wasn't going to get faster at distance until I got faster at the short stuff. So the following goals were set:

25yds - 19sec
50yds - 45sec
100yds - 1:40
200yds - 3:30
500yds- 9:00

These were pretty ambitious goals for me, as I'm typically 2:00+/100. Throughout the month I managed to regularly get the 25 down to 17 or 18. The 50 I managed a best of 39, and I did a 100 in 1:35 (while racing my 10 year old, who beat me by 4 seconds). I have not hit the 200, and have not swam a 500 yet. But I now think I can get there.

So thanks for setting up the challenge and helping me get my arse to the pool. I hope to pull the same type of frequency for March. Swimming will always be my limiter but at least I'm a little better now than I was before.
