If you've never been, I highly recommend it. We also did a day of kayak floating down a calmer river, so it was both adventurous and relaxing in the same trip. We went to the Northern Outdoors resort in The Forks, Maine, which is clearly not SE, but I'm sure there are plenty of places in the south to choose from. |

Do you like the mountains? The SE is a big place, which area do you want to visit. If you want beaches East coast of Florida is hard to beat. |

| Pro 4311 Texas | Subject: RE: Vacation Ideas If you're in Houston, it shouldn't be too hard to snag a pair of tickets to Cancun. There's plenty of beachfront there and options for jungle tours/snorkeling/etc. that all the hotels can setup for you. |

Not that I really care...I LOVE anything historical. I'm reading the second book in the 'North & South' series, so that would be an incredible place to go! Any suggestions about Charleston? Thanks for the ideas! J-Chad likes to golf, but he's not very good....yet I absolutely love Charleston! The food and shopping is good. I love going around looking at all the old plantation homes- they're gorgeous! There's so much history there- I vote for Charleston! You and Chad would love it! Did I mention it's a romantic place? There's Folly Beach (which is a little north or so of Charleston- I think?). I'm not sure how far it is from Myrtle beach. |

I had to go on business trip to Houston for a straight 9 months, a couple of years ago. While I was there, the client told me there was a great beach area called Galeston which rivals CA beaches. It was a good trick. That place was about one of the worse beaches I've ever seen.
