hdhtri - 2006-06-02 8:34 AM We have a group of 7 BTers who will be there. It is hard to meet for a meal but for a picture would be great. My guess is that it is easiest to meet up right after the mandatory pre-race meeting on saturday. What about right after the meeting everyone go outside the building and take a left (if looking at the building a right) and wait over on the south side of the building where last year they inspected the bikes. Just an idea

So is this the meeting place after the mandatory meeting????

There is is folks, in the wide open. If I want to ensure a slot I need to be top 13. Tall order ......

Don't worry, I won't be taking any of the slots from you.  My goal is to finish.

Are you serious? There are 350 in our age group?? Ouch.. BTW, no fear from me stealing any Clearwater spots from you, I'm just hoping to finish my first 1/2 iron intact (on minimal training)!  I'm sure you won't need to finish in the top 13 anyway. Some rolldown is inevitable.

It is very hard in our age group.  It is the most competitive.

Here is a break down of last years qualifying times for 35-39 age group:

 1   4:17:32  Hawaii winner
 2   4:26:58
 3   4:27:50  Hawaii winner
 4   4:29:18
 5   4:32:27  Hawaii winner
 6   4:37:11
 7   4:38:35
 8   4:40:33
 9   4:40:35
 10  4:41:07
 13  4:43:13  IMFL

My guess is others who had these times were probably already in the race.

Hey, count me as another non-threat. Making it before the cut-off is my goal! I'm just happy the swim start is 7:13. I'll be there for the pic as well.

Hey Daremo,

I cut/pasted the 35-39 age group list into to excel and came up with 318.  That has to be the biggest AG by far. But hey, based on the postings here  you only have to beat out another 300 other racers. If you really smoke the bike course like you plan, you'll be well on your way to Clearwater!

Make sure you check the ENTIRE list. I scrolled down to where my AG started showing up and did see my name and got a little spooked, kept checking and there I wass Looks like the names are listed by swim wave, and then alphabetical within each wave. If you atill aren't on there, I really hope it gets straightened out.

I just checked for you. THere is a NATHAN HOGAN from Bristol, CT #100something. Any relation? Possible mix-up?

That is my husband so there is no mix up. The rest of our group of 6 people are listed. I am listed on the tricolumbia.org site but no race #.

I am sure that is not an issue to get a number on race day.  It is a good thing it has been identified before hand.
