Good morning! It's a beautiful Saturday in the desert...although windy darn it!

6:00am:  10 mile lovely run
Followed by core work and a bit of upper body strength training.

Good luck to all you racers!  Have a great day, all!

45 mile group ride this morning. The wind was only blowing on the way back, I'm sure of it.

25 miles on the bike this morning it was Nice & sunny 55 degrees but a very stiff cool 17 mph wind really kicked the heck out of my speed, about 75 % of the ride was headwind or  good crosswind only manage a sad 15.5 MPH

I remember back in Detroit we would do a training ride through Mexican town on Cinco de Mayo and join the parade through town on our bikes. We just rode along waving to people like we were supposed to be there.

It was huge.

Just got home from my race. Sprint triathlon, .4 mile swim, 20.5 mile bike, 4 mile run. I'll post a race report, but I had a really fun time today. Lots to work on, especially sighting and transition. Relatively new swimmer, so that went kind of as expected. Bike and run were good! 4th in AG, 89/234 OA.

By far the most bugs I have ever experienced, ever. We were bitten up by swarms of gnats the entire time. They literally were covering our bodies, and insect repellant didn't help. It never let up, it was so bad my tri club cancelled our after-race picnic.

5k race this morning.  I was 3 seconds off my over 45 pr.  I'm 50 now and am thrilled that the hands off time have slipped a bit.  Much celebration going on today.  Life is surely good!!

Nicely done! Yes, life is good. Amazing what you can get a 50-year old body to do if you keep it tuned. I turned 50 in February.

40 on the bike... A little slower than I wanted but I was ridding with a friend who hasn't been rising much this year. I'll make up for it with a hard 60 next week and some tough intervals this week.
