Subject: Vacation Ideas

Does anyone have any fun vacation ideas for a 22 year old single male?  I am up for just about anything, so any recommendations would be great.  I was looking online at cruises, and I saw something about a single's cruise.  Has anybody ever done something like that?

I have never done a singles cruise before but I know someone who has and he said most of the people are a little older. When are you planning on going and are you planning on going with friends? what are you looking to get out of this vacation? I would say alot would depend on what experience you want to have (crazy wild party and meet lots of girls or relaxed and enjoyable, etc.) My reccomendation would be Cancun for spring break. Being 22y/o, I know that for that week I would love nothing more then to be at the beach, cheap drinks, surrounded by beautiful women all day and go to to alot of bars/clubs at night. Also, you have alot of opportunities to "Meet females" down there who are probably also there to have fun and "Meet males" if you get what I am saying. Also, with the all inclusives down there, its worry free because all of your meals, tips and drinks are paid for.

Jamaica.....  I went in my late 30's and the whole time I was thinking how much more enjoyable the trip would have been while single and in my 20's...

I am guessing that I will be taking the vacation in the August/September time frame.  I am starting to get more time off so I need to save up hours for a little while and I would probably be going alone.  I will have to think about Cancun for my early 2013 vacation.

I went to Vegas last December after I graduated so I will probably do something different this time.

Well I had a great idea for you when I read your first post, but then thought it may not be such a good idea going alone.

Anyhow, some buddies and I all went on a "guys trip" in our mid 20's to Rio for Carnival.  It was a trip that will never be equaled... made a Secret Service night out in South America look lame.

Being an American in Rio is like being a celebrity...

Check the back of Outside Magazine for different adventure trip ideas.
I've also heard about singles sailing trips.  (kind of based of the cruise but younger crowd).

August is a great time to head to Alaska.

Do an REI Adventure tour.  Not the cheapest way to take a vacation but they are top notch.  I've done them alone and with friends and had as much fun each time.

Buy a backpack, go to Rome or Paris or any such large city that has great historical things to see. Stay in youth hostels. Will meet many travellers from all over the world. Can't go wrong.

X2 above, that movie is awesome!! It will be interesting to see the sequel. It did kinda freak me out when I watched it though because my girlfriend and her sister were visiting their uncle and cousins in Paris the same time I watched it so I was really glad when they made it home

Yeah, I'd look into various adventure travel opportunities.  Or if you ski head to South America in August.
