My 1-year Tri Anniversary...before and after pics

Expert  950    McKinney, TX |  Subject: My 1-year Tri Anniversary...before and after picsOne year ago today I became a Triathlete. Life has changed so much since this race. The girl in the pink, Caroline, lost everything to Hurricane Katrina and just had her first child last week! Me? Well, I've only gained a new lease on life, lots of new friends, a sexy training partner, and a thinner bank account because of all the toys (out of the gutter, please!) this sport requires! My weight on the scale is not extremely different today than it was a year ago. I think I was around 169lbs and today I'm hovering around 160. The big difference is in clothes. I was wearing a size 16 pants, XL in all my workout clothes. Now, I'm in a size 8 and M for workout clothes! I've been waiting a long time to post these pics. My only regret is that this race, Girlpower, is not being held this year because of damage from Katrina. Thanks, BT and thanks to my honey, Derek for not saying I was crazy to train for a tri in less than 6 weeks when I couldn't swim, run, or owned a bike. Thanks, Baby.
