Elite  4547   |  Subject: crazy television show warningOkay, so me and Mrs. CD sit down to watch ABC's "What Would You Do?" on Friday night...the scenario was a segment on a pair of restaurant customers plotting to place a bug in their meal to get free food. Of course, they are on camera, actors, and plot what they are going to do aloud. The cameras are there to see if anybody will do the right thing and tell the manager. What warning does the show post at the bottom of the screen? "No crickets were harmed during the filming of this show." I am not kidding. Am I the only person who finds this ridiculous? Crickets?? Really??? Someone please explain this to me...I'm at a loss. |

Actually, I would think the PETA people would prefer there be no use of animals at all. Those disclaimers are actually (when they are not a joke), certified by the American Humane Association. And they are a product of the days when (for example), they would use trip wires to make horses fall during a chase scene (breaking the horse's leg, and leading to them being put down), or chasing a bunch of lemmings off a cliff and then claiming they have committed mass suicide, for the sake of "entertainment". |

I guess this cattle farmer had had enough. In giant letters next to the road on his fence he posted P.E.T.A. = People Eating Tasty Animals I have no comment on the matter, just relaying what I saw... |
