Comments:

Not terrible. Way off of my predicted time, but I didn't hold up too many - passed by 4 or 5; passed 1 or 2. Forgot the backup in swim lanes.
What would you do differently?:

Practice swimming more. :)
Transition 1
  • 02m 3s
Bike
  • 46m 33s
  • 11 miles
  • 14.18 mile/hr
Comments:

Holey hills. I should have done a pre-ride. I would say the hills were more than advertised. Thank God for granny gears.
What would you do differently?:

Bike more. :)
Transition 2
  • 02m 1s
Run
  • 38m 17s

Comments:

Who designs an out and back run course that is a big downhill, a big up hill, and then a little bit of mostly flat? That means you finish on a big up hill. That's just cruel.
What would you do differently?:

Run more?
Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster:

Training. Or lack thereof.

Event comments:

I wasn't jazzed about an all-woman race, but found it to be really quite nice. More so than the all-male volunteer crew, the cool part was the "You go girl" that you got from all the other competitors.

Hey, nice job! You endured! Yeah, uphill running, especially at the end, sucks. My swim was way off predicted, too, because the time includes getting out of the pool and running the length of the transition area.

Glad you saw me and we got to chat at the beginning. I would've cheered you on at the end, except for my hungry baby and the rain.

Nice work!  It's never nice to find out that a course is not as advertised.  Thank goodness you had the gears to get it done!
