Comments:

Good run. I wasn't planning on running the whole thing because I have a cold. It was good to have that expectation going in. My lungs were burning after the first mile. Tried to run as much as I could and keep my lungs going.

I did relace my shoes this morning. They ended up a bit too tight. My left foot was kind of numb by the end.

Goal was to just finish. Really more of a training run than a race.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Did the best I could given my current training and the cold.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around, porta-potty, drove to McDonald's and got a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. :)

Manatees: Fueled by McDonald's. Maybe we can get them to sponsor us.

Glad you stuck with your non-race plan.

Food always tastes better after a race.

Way to go Jen!

Way to go Jen! I'm glad you had a good plan and you stuck to it. I hope you get the shoes lacing squared away. And MMMMMM, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit at the end just makes it that much better.

Jen - good work.  Isn't 'training' fun when you're around a bunch of other 'training' people!  Nice work!  And, even with a cold, you were super close to running the whole thing - GREAT!!!

Maybe we can be the McManatees???!!!

Very nice job. You ran a good part of this and still protected your health. And McDonalds??? <shaking head> I just don't get it. I know I'm the odd-manatee out on this one. Laughing Now, I can talk pancakes. Or waffles.

Great job, Jen!!  Big congrats on finishing in the top half of your AG (and almost overall, too!), all while battling a cold (yuck) and also only considering this a training run.  Hopefully you will find the sweet spot for your laces soon.  Numb/sore feet aren't fun.  But McDonald's is, YAY!!!!
