Subject: Tri Tats

So I have these tri tats all over.   As much as I want to show everyone that i was in a triathlon, it has been 5 days now and I am tired of having them on me.  Is there a good method of getting them off?  Yes I take showers.  I tried baby oil, rubbing alcohol but it irritates my skin more than removes the tat.   Not to mention everyone now knows how old I am from the one on my calf.  LOL

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Scott

The confusion is that people think you are talking about actual tatoos, not your race number and age (permanent marker)

Try hand sanitizer.  usually works like a charm.

It's more than permanent marker - tritats.com
Definitely a bugger to get off - if the rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover didn't work, try Dawn dishwashing soap.

Packing tape works well on places without hair, or places you no longer want hair.

BTW, I hate those Tri Tats.

Rubbing Alcohol, I've done Tri-Tats twice this year, comes right off with a little elbow grease with rubbing alcohol.

How did I know this?  It was stated on the Tri-Tat information with the race packet.  I read stuff......

Get a wash cloth and scrub like hell. Then repeat. They will come off but it hurts.

Just make sure you have the same number for your next race and you won't have to take them off.

That YouTube seems pretty easy. I was thinking something like WD40 or gasoline. NO FLAMES!

Rubbing alcohol didn't budge mine AT ALL.

Get a massage...whatever stuff the LMT used took it right off!

Get pumice soap. It has a mild abrasive in it that works like a charm.

That's strange because it worked fine for me.  Maybe different types of Tri-Tat compounds are used?  I heard baby oil works too.
