Thanks Matt and Dave

I appreciate the input and hope that the recovery is going to go well.  I am glad it is taking place over the winter and off season. I will work at it properly to bring it back.

I am still freaked a little I have never had a general and been knocked out. Tell people you are and all of a sudden you hear every horror story of anyone who's uncles brothers mothers distant cousin seen

general anesthesia is nice.  one minute you are in the little prep room, the next minute you are dizzy and in the recovery room.  fun times.  ignore the horror stories.  in college i volunteered in anesthesia and never once saw something go wrong.

Yeah but now you talk funny and can't read good.
I think that's because she lives near cell towers.

and i have a color TV.

I honestly didn't want my wife or FIL there when I woke up.  I was afraid I would say something completely out of line after my Thyroid surgery.

Comming out of it is weird.  There are brief moments of clarity that I SORT of recall where I asked a bunch of questions, then fade out, then come back and ask them all again.  3-4 times.

you are also likely to say weird stuff in that first few minutes after they start the anesthesia.  last surgery i had i asked my husband to leave the prep room before they hit the button, and he couldn't come into recovery until i came to.  he was like "what are you afraid to say around me, huh!?!!??"

I ralphed pretty big after I woke up.  But that was because they gave me too much morphine.

I'm sure my wifey would never use my drug-induced state to interrogate me... maybe...

I have no issues with saying weird things, I just get really, really, REALLY sick.  I'm that person that the medical personnel have conferences about because I have such adverse reactions.  It's just not pretty and no one should have to be around me after surgery except those that are trained to do so.  And I still feel badly for them and what I put them through.

I don't THINK I would say anything bad.

But between you and me and all of TAN and the internet.  I may, or may not, have had rare dreams about doing certain things to a certain person/persons both real and fictitious...  So I know my unconscious mind is capable or getting into trouble and I didn't need any of those delusions getting out on accident?

See now those are funny. I am afraid of the things I might say as well.

My buddy recently got put out and when he came too he asked if they stapled his penis back on yet?

My new friend is going to come in there as well. Seeing everyone else bailed. She has been my friend for a while but we are ummm much closer now.

My Mom is working midnights but is probably coming to pick me up. I basically have no one else right now available. I hope I don't say something stupid.

My luck I will either come out of this engaged to said new GF or Single.

I guess I should forewarn her now.

How's your training going? If you're in VERY good condition and your resting heart rate is very low, tell them. Alarms go off if your HR drops below 50. Fun times sending the whole floor to bed 3 thinking they are losing one.
