I cannot follow the conversation. I see hamsters, cell towers, yoga and surgery. I'd like to add porn and bewbs to the mix ... if that's okay? I don't believe that there is ever an inappropriate time for discussion of bewbs and porn ... except maybe Christmas dinner with the grandparents. And even that is a big maybe, Grandma can be pretty funny! Inappropriate .. never. But this is a tough crowd to break in to at times. So I'll keep my bewbs and porn to myself for now. Tough to break in? TAN is a river, you have to just jump-in. You can't wait for it to stop so you can join... Dude .. I've been around since TAN #1 ... trust me .. it can be cliquish .. I've been guilty of it many a time. New peeps often don't stand a chance! This is why I've given it up for 2013 .. I've only 15 days left to participate in the nothingness! I need to get my fill!!!!!! You lie! You can't quit TAN. Just like we can't quit you. We wish we could quit you... Ha! Yes you can .. and I have! And I shall prevail again! (fists in the air) So we'll see you around Jan 10th... Who wants in on the pool. I have Jan 10th.
Oh c'mon ... where is your faith in me? Give me until at least July. Actually it's not because of anything or anyone at all .. Just have some other things I am choosing to focus on in the new year! Not ditching BT just the allure and giant suck of time for me that is TAN! I hear you. I definitely have a lot of stuff lined-up starting early Jan so I may be on less because of it. But it's good to have a gang like you guys in my new digs. |

Meh talks funny but likes it hot so she has a cold bed. Mon wants to learn to read on a nook/tablet or whatever. Teej is leaving TAN effective Jan 1 for ever. Techdiver is gonna be awake for surgery because he's canadian. Tony stopped-in just long enough for us not to like him again. Chris was only here for a minute but still managed to drop a few funny lines. Kate is back from Vegas soiling young minds. Did I miss anything? Oh and Shades of Grey is the official book of TAN for today even though it's too slow and poorly written. |

I'm assuming it's similar to borrowing them from another kindle user. I borrow them from my moms all the time. There is a kindle app you put on any phone/tablet/pc. I'm not sure if it's only Kindle or any ebook reader could read them? I don't have a kindle, but my library offers them for either kindle apps or other ereaders that meet the software requirements. I was just wondering if anyone's tried borrowing an ebook from the library yet? Hi Tan - saw a question I could answer! Yep, get them all the time. No problems. Depending on the book there can be a wait but they email you when they are available - and then you get the book for 21 days with my library and it deletes itself after that. Love it - hardly ever buy books. There isn't always everything new but still a pretty good selection for the company that the library contracts with. I read Tyler Hamilton's book as an e-book from the library and have embarked on the 'book crack' that is the Outlander series. Yay! Thanks so much for this, it makes me feel just a tad better to know that someone has borrowed ebooks from the library with success! As for the Outlander series, that's one that left me heartbroken to donate the entire set when I moved to the UK and it's one that I WILL eventually be buying again. I've also suggested this particular book crack to others with excellent success. Awesome! if they use the same service called 'overdrive' - they have an app for pretty much every system. I've read the books, got the audiobooks, etc. pretty cool - and if you search on your device it will only return formats compatible with your device. I like free - i love books but i've gotten over needed to have all of the ones I've read. As for 'outlander' - holy crap! I just read the second one and basically no one could talk to me for a week and a half. Book crack! I was so embroiled in the thing. I do want to read the third but I need to not do it back to back as I need to get other things done! They have the first five on e-books from the library ... we'll see if the others will be on by the time i get there. |

I know the new year is symbolic to "new" and everyone does it, but there is no reason to put off becoming happier/better for some date. You can start NOW. But I'm guilty as well. New year, first of the month, beginning of a new week - all good starting points. "I'll start the new diet on Monday". No reason you can't eat well NOW... NOW is a good starting point, no? |

Well, maybe waiting 4 days isn't all that bad. No reason to drop a lb or 2 just to go up in smoke in 4 days. MAYBE if we get a reprieve and a second chance? As for smoking? I say, smoke'm if you got'm... Edited by Kido 2012-12-17 3:53 PM |

That movie was pretty funneh.. SORT of interesting story. My honeymoon was in Hawaii and one of our tours drove by the big opening scene location where they blew everything up. This was before the movie came out. They actually bought a bunch of tree, trucked them in, then blew them up. No actual forests were blown up for this movie... (is that the normal disclosure?) I think Robert Downy was almost eerie in his roll. convincing in an odd way. |
