I have been away for a long while. My foot has been hurting but I am coming back slowly from that. So I am jumping in this, a little late, but frustrated with my consistency working out and my eating choices.

I need the accountability of posting every week.

I weighed 189 to 191 for the past couple weeks of weigh ins at home. I was down to 183 and I am tired of feeling so bad. ENough excuses and time to get serious. I would love eventually to be around 175 but by the end of this month i would be happy with 185 consisitently .

1/16/13 = 165.0

Meh. Was down to 162.8, but had a bit of a wild weekend foodwise.

This morning I'm weighing in at 270. I hope to lose at least 70 lbs and get to 200 by the end of the year.

Thanks,

Chris

What the hell?  I have been to the gym 8 out of the last 10 days and have been more faithful to my training plan than I ever have in the past.  Also, this is the first time I've ever been even remotely focused on my eating habits.  I started the month at 228.  I was sure that I would have lost a few pounds this week.  Nope.  228.6.  I may take a break from the scale as I am afraid that I will get discouraged if different numbers don't start appearing soon.

tricupcake - 2013-01-16 11:30 AM What the hell?  I have been to the gym 8 out of the last 10 days and have been more faithful to my training plan than I ever have in the past.  Also, this is the first time I've ever been even remotely focused on my eating habits.  I started the month at 228.  I was sure that I would have lost a few pounds this week.  Nope.  228.6.  I may take a break from the scale as I am afraid that I will get discouraged if different numbers don't start appearing soon.

Frustrating indeed.  Congrats on the 8 days out of 10 acheivement, that is very commendable!  As for the eating: you mentioned focusing on your eating habits, but what exactly does that mean?  I have found that while I 'think' I'm eating good, I'm still going over the calories I should.  If you aren't doing so already, I'd recommend keeping a log of all you eat and drink every day, complete with calories and as much nutritional info possible.  I use the LoseIt app and it makes it very easy to keep track of what I've been consuming daily and where I'm going wrong/right.

And the scale can be very finicky.  I was solidly staying within my calorie range last week and getting workouts in.  Stepped on the scale 1/14: no change.  Stepped on the scale today (without having done anything different or drastic since Monday) and saw the 1.5 lb. loss I was hoping for and expecting.  So agreed, you don't want to be a slave to the scale, constantly weighing yourself but fluctuations are expected throughout the day and sometimes day to day and even depending on our own personal body cycles.  I weigh myself at the same time of day under the same conditions: first thing in the morning before eating or drinking anything.

Keep up the good workouts and be patient with the weight loss.  If you keep doing things right, it will come.  Patience grasshopper, patience!

First weigh-in 1/7: 187
1/16: 185.5

3/28/12 - 238lbs

1/08/13 - 193.4lbs

1/16/13 - 190.8lbs.

Seems like a bit much - I have included many more greens the past week.  I am really trying to focus on my eating habits and to not overeat on most days.  I want to get down to 175lbs for my first HIM in August.

Keep up the good work all.

I am back gang. I did my IM this past weekend in Key West. A long hot windy day but a wonderful way to spend 12+ hrs in the sun in mid January. Now I need to finish enjoying the rest of my "blow off" week and it will be quickly back to business next week. I have  an ambitious schedule layed out for this year and have a lot of work to do to get where I am hoping to get.

Great start to the year for many of you, keep it up!

Hello All,

My name is Chris and I was here about 3 years ago and have finally found my way back. Does this still work like it did back then? Weigh in is on Wednesday mornings or has it changed. I would love to get back in to this and have already started training for my first tri in October.

Thanks,

Chris

Welcome back Chris!

Bad week, gained half a pound.  Not sure how.  Increased my running mileage for the week and stayed the course within my food.  I think I really need to look at my food intake.  Going to be traveling for work today through Friday, but I threw my running shoes and some clothes into my bag.  So we will see what happens during next week's weight-in.

Keep up the good work folks.

229.2 today

Not great, but at one point this week I was at 231 so I'm happy to still be in the 220s.  Going to reboot the diet this weekend.  I will be measuring and packaging so it will be a no brainer as far as nutrition is concerned.
