Another was Dave Matthews by himself and acoustic. The crowd absolutely ruined the whole thing for me and I have not really listed to DMB since. |

The little sister decided the morning of the concert that she no longer liked NKOTB...why we didn't tell her that she didn't need to go to the concert if she didn't like them, I don't know. Instead, we made her go...so it was us (who had no true desire to be there) and the little sister (who also had no desire to be there). It was bad. |

Started out playing some old blues tunes which were very good, but crowd really ruined it, as they wanted to hear classic Clapton so lots of talking and moving around. When he finally played some of the classic hits, there was no energy. Played them like it was for the 10,000 time, and I'm sure it was. Also, he had zero interaction with the crowd. Saw him 3 times before and it was always a great show. |

I saw the Counting Crows at the height of their lead singer Adam Duritz’s “OMG, I can’t deal with being a celebrity” meltdown, shortly before he went on meds and into seclusion. He was openly hostile towards and derisive of the crowd. When people clapped or began to sing along to a song, he would stop singing and walk offstage until they stopped, and at one point, told the cheering crowd to shut the eff up. I was a huge fan at the time, but it was a long time before I could even listen to them, and I’ve never bought another of their records. |

My wife and I just saw Erasure last year-- thought it was a ton of fun, in large part because of the crowd. I think you have to be in the right frame of mind. Drinking helps. |
