Subject: A 1st - broke 100 miles running, broke 7 min barrier in runNormally I would not write about this but I am really excited about breaking 100 miles running in June. Also, on a side note the majority of my running is focused on pacing for HIM in September and October. My goal is 8 - 830 min range, so I try to pace and train around that area. This morning I was doing my morning 25-30 mile bike ride (at 4am start ) when I got a flat for the first time in as long as I can remember. So I timed myself and took just around 4 minutes to change. By this point I was kind of bummed and since I was at the end of my ride loop decided to duck in and put on my running shoes. Started of run and at mile 1 I was at 7:15, my legs felt great so I decided to push myself the remainder of the run (4.2 total ). Felt great the whole way and finished 4.2 miles in 28:16, equates to under 7 minutes. I usually run longer distances and it felt great to see that all my base training is paying off.
Sorry about the long note but I just had to let it out. |
