There goes your street cred....it's Breakin' 2.  Break dancers wouldn't be caught dead using roman numerals.  Geesh.

Comedy time!

I posted some all-time greats earlier...but sometimes a movie doesn't have to be an all-time great to be on your favorites list...perhaps a little Meet the Parents? (the first one of course), or, the underrated Private Parts starring Mr. Howard Stern.

Bill Murray's a hoot, how 'bot a little Groundhog Day?  Ghostbusters, and What About Bob?

Jim Carrey brought us some quality films too, Ace Ventura, Liar Liar, and The Truman Show.

I could probably rattle off at least 6 excellent movies with a very underrated (in my opinion) actor, Mr. Robin Williams...not all comedies with him either.

When my kids grow up I'm looking forward to checking these out with them.

...now, The Naked Gun and Holy Grail are just very special comedies...again, the greatest joy will be sharing them with my kids when they get to an appropriate age.

Comedy time!

Monty Python's Holy Grail is great, but I think Life of Brian is better.

My Cousin Vinny is in my top five comedies.

These are the movies I watch whenever they are on TV, and re-rent them if I can

Jurassic Park
Star Wars - before Lucas went back and messed it up (and there's only one real Star Wars)
King Kong (the latest one)
Life of Brian
Alien
The Exorcist
Blade Runner
The Bourne Identity

Whenever I feel like my life sucks, I watch "Sid and Nancy - A Love Story."

I'm a little young for John Wayne, but did manage to grow up on Clint Eastwood.

Speghetti Western favorites:

  • The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly.
  • The outlaw Josey Wales.
  • A Fist full of Dollars

Dirty Harry was the best of the Detective Callahan movies.

"this is a .44 magnum, the most powerfull hand gun in the world.  It would easily blow your head clean off..."  classic.

And his later stuff has been good.  Grand Torino being a very good movie.

+1 on this! I think we all have a little Tyler Durden in all of us!

I also have to recommend "Shakes the Clown" With Bobcat Goldthwait. Awesome comedy with a bizarre, all star cast!

I love Sean Penn movies but can only watch em once!  Mystic River...loved it but a little depressing.

For a pick me up watch any time - Dirty Dancing!

Classic westerns The Good the Bad and the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More...love all those.  Reminds me of being a kid watching them with my dad.

I couldn't name just one, but I'd go with: Gladiator, The Matrix, Star Wars 4-6, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
