That's an awesome video.  I stopped riding my road bike pre-dawn because of all of the deer hanging around the side of the road.

There is actually a rite of initiation into the Deer Bloods and Crips where they have to take out a mountain biker.  Squirrels have a similar rite regarding cars.

I know a guy who was hit similarly by a deer while on his motorcycle.  Unfortunately his speed caused a much worse impact, although he did live.

Just think if someone could teach deer to look both ways!

If you do a Google Maps search here:  41.044793,-74.249468  and check out elevation, it's Skyline Drive in NJ.  A serious climb and descent on a bike!  I used to ride it a lot.  Was heading down once at about 45mph, brakes smoking, when a deer jumped out of the woods right in front of me.  A NASTY crash.  I was messed up and the forks of the bike snapped skewering the deer, killing it.  Not a pretty site.  I still shudder with the memories of it.
