I love the Camaro and the Skylark. They are awesome.

Here's a picture of my favorite car. It's an '88 Porsche 928 S4. Kind of a german Corvette. If this one would have been had a manual transmission (its an automatic) I would have supercharged it and never owned another car.

The two cars I owned that I miss a lot are my 1981 Jeep CJ-5 and my 1993 Toyota MR2 turbo.

I don't have pictures here at work of them, but these are about the closest I could find on the interwebs:

Bought a Mini convertible a couple years ago. Closest thing I could find and it's built by BMW, so it actually runs

Why in the hell do they even make an automatic Porsche?

Don't think I don't see the inside of your garage either;)

I also just have to add that I appreciate your range--Camaro, Skylark, Porsche.  One of these kids is doin his own thing.

My favorite is holding down my garage floor. Having the time and money to get it where I want to is the hard part. Looks great, mechanically it has some needs....

Memory lane. This thread made me think about the cars I rode in growing up. Of course we always had a station wagon, Catholic family and 5 kids. For some reason though, my mom drove most of us around for years in the Cheve Vega, listed as one of the 10 worst cars of all time. I was the youngest and always had to sit in center seat in the back, and deal with the hump.

Ok.. I'll amend that.. there a woman named Switch.. that likes it. (and I am sure a few other women on this site who might also) Tongue out

My best friend's husband just got rid of his.. He loved it but she hated it too..  They had a kid and she wouldn't let him drive around with the babe inside.

I had a small lift on it and big tires but not that big since I drove it around the city. I had a very heavy-duty bumper put on it, a light bar with four KCs and of course the cool speaker system with removeable deck speakers since I was 16-17 years old!

Seriously, Jeeps are the best. You can take the top off in the summer and you have 4WD in the winter. The engine on that thing sucked so it's probably good I knew how to wrench, but eventually I had to sell it because it wouldn't run properly.

I miss the MR2 more, though. That thing was not only beautiful but it was fast and agile.

Here's another one I cut my racing teeth on. It's an '88 Nissan 300ZX turbo with some modifications. It was really a fun car to drive.

Even though I had saved the money for the car I could not buy it under my name because I was not 18. My dad drove the car, kicked the tires and I thought I would be cruising home in my shinny yellow Challenger with black racing strips. Then, out of nowhere my dad wants to look under the hood. He sees the 3 carberators and asks me "what the hell is this?". That killed the deal. We compromised and a week later I was driving a Plymouth Duster, which was a POS!

When my mom was in high school, my grandparents bought a 71 or 72 Challenger. I think it was a R/T. She got to drive it to work, 25 expressway miles away...

Anyway, old cars I love:
My non-Federal Lotus Europa S2
Every other Lotus made before 1985
TVR Vixens. And every other TVR made before 1980
Triumph TR-6, GT6, and Spitfires (my Lotus uses an early Spitfire front suspension)
Jag E-Type, XK120/140, Mk2, Mk IX
I could say a Jag D-type, but those were racing cars only

I could go on, but I'll stop with English cars only lol.

English cars have such great personality. Love the E-type.

Also, I have a friend that has a '70 Plymouth Superbird. Nothing like it.

When I was younger I went with my Dad to test drive a 1969 Mustang GT500 KR. The guy wanted $10k for it which seemed like a fortune and my Dad passed on it. Talk about the one that got away.

I have to admit, I've had to look up some of the cars people have posted without pics because I didn't know what they looked like.

I have now entered into a very interesting and diverse world of pop up ads marketed to me because of my new gearhead searches.  Not exactly sure what that says about the average liker of these cars, but some of these are NSFW.

Not judgin, just sayin.

I have never experienced that and I've spent a lot of time in the gearhead world. I've participated in a number of car forums over the years and most are as pleasant and respectful as BT. Folks that just love cars and want to talk about them. I guess the only exception to that is some of the import tuner sites that get very crude but they are a different crowd. Not sure why you'd get pop ups like that.

Haha. Well, um, uh, maybe they're not because of the car searches then...
