1. American Bacon. When you've grown up eating British or Irish Bacon, the streaks of fat served in the US just don't work.

Don't worry, we have the ham you're talking about. We just also happen to have bacon. Real bacon comes in "strips", not "rashers."

It's hard to find real Bacon here, yes, Rashers.  Canadian bacon doesn't cut it either.  I have to shop in a little place off the beaten track that imports the stuff from Ireland.  costs me $10 for 6 rashers!!  if anyone can point me to a more readily available supply I'm listening!!!

Interesting thread, I can agree with many of the items listed, but one of my main dislikes is Oreo cookies. They taste like bitter card board with sugar paste in the middle! I love sweets, way too much, but have never understood the appeal. I did an organized ride this past weekend and there was Oreos with peanut butter on the top that people were all over. I couldn't help but think it was a waste of Peanut Butter! I can eat that stuff out of the jar. PB Gu is the best thing ever!

I'm learning to hate outdoor festivals.

They bring a lot of trashy people into my neighborhood. We had Lit Fest and Blues Fest in our 'hood this weekend. While those two aren't bad in terms of the people they draw, some others like the Taste of Chicago and Lollapalooza, also in our 'hood, are just a major sh*tshow. That said, it helps out the local businesses so it's all good. As long as they leave me alone! I wish I could tell them to get off my lawn, but technically Grant Park isn't `my lawn.'

Lets break this down...

I hate outdoor fests.
But not the two I mentioned
But these other ones I hate
But they are good for businesses

So you do or don't?

You know what I dislike.....people that can't make up their minds. Actually....I just dislike Tony.

No, I dont like any of them! The first two I mentioned I still hate, I just hate them less than the others. Pay attention!!! God it's like talking to a four-year old. You know what else I hate? People from out of town. GO HOME TOURISTS! Frickin' people from out of town coming to my city and fu**ing up everything. I usually try to stay inside when they're in my town and pretend I'm sick, even if I know them, because I actually can't stand them.

And long quotes.......especially when they involve Tony

You've obviously never met Brad. Or Cord, for that matter. Or Phil. Yeah I said you, FILLUP!

Me too. I've known a lot of wonderful pits in my life. A few bad ones, but the same goes for pretty much every breed I've ever encountered.

One of the best dogs I've ever known was a Pit.  I'm in the camp of there aren't bad dogs, just bad owners.  Thank you Michael Vick.

One of the cuddliest-bags-of-goo-that-was-supposed-to-be-a-dog I've ever met was the sweetest pit named Daisy.  She also thought she was a lap dog which didn't always work out so well.

Put me in the camp of no bad dogs, just bad owners.

I found another one.

Horse racing.  I mean, if one was in front of me, I would probably watch but I don't seek it out.

I was shocked at the 2-3 hours of allocated coverage for the Belmont.  2-3 hours for a 2 minute race?  WOW.  I had it on for 45 mintutes just to try to find the appeal.  Still lost on me.  I liked the race though - the horse names are awesome - Unlimited Budget (I can only imagine), Overanalyze, Palace Malice.  And to think, the Belmont has been run for 145 years.  Yikes.

And here in the sports books?  It's still bet on like crazy.
