Pro ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter but I'm with you on soft, flexible bacon. That's how I love it. |

Sensei ![]() | ![]() As a rule of thumb, adding bacon to just about anything makes it better. However, the converse is not always true. Adding things to bacon rarely make it better. On that note, alton brown has a pralines bacon recipe i want to try. |

Champion ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ![]() I saw a photo of pancake batter poured directly over cooked bacon on a griddle so the bacon ends up cooked inside the pancake. That sounds awesome. Next time I make pancakes, I'm doin that. |

Adding banana was a big hit as well. Aw heck, just about anything in pancakes is a win. One exception to this rule is Tootsie Rolls. |

I will have to try the PB bacon roll-ups. |

I will have to try the PB bacon roll-ups. My husband reminded me that I was really, really hungry when I made those. I don't want to lead anyone astray, but I still say they were good, and I tend to agree with Kido that bacon can make almost anything better and the converse is not true. Anyway...that's the long way of saying if you do try them, I hope they don't suck :) Chris--Did you guys ever try putting crumbled, cooked sausage in the pancake batter? I haven't--just seems like it might be good. Sausage + syrup = heaven, but I've decided in my next life I want to be a syrup sommelier. Confession; I'll drink a glass (~6oz) of it, the good stuff now, no HFCS BS.

Yep, sausage sold better than bacon in the pancakes, although we also sold "Pigs in a blanket". Sausage link rolled up in a pancake. Just pick em up and dip them into the syrup. A bit of heaven. |

Thanks! |
