Subject: RE: Cochiti Tri Just a heads up...
Water was a jekyll and hyde at this race. Great temp, not choppy.. totally thought it was going to be a PR swim... till I got to the first buoy. Apparently the current in the lake was on crack that day. Originally the race course was supposed to be out from the swim area to the boat dock, instead day of the race they changed it to 2 loops. They did this cause they couldn't keep the buoys in place, the current kept sweeping them out to BFE. I ended up 8 minutes slower than last year on the swim. My SO said that EVERYONE was getting out of the water with a WTF look on their faces.
Good times.
Anyway... went to the swim clinic there this last weekend... the water was magically delicious (with a coating of leprechaun green algae on top ) instead of deceptively evil. At this point I'm just hoping that the 505 is like this last weekend.
