Subject: Headphone recommendations?

The headphones I use when I'm running died on me yesterday.  What are your favorite headphones SPECIFICALLY for running?  I am quite comfortable with earbuds (that is what I use now).  Obviously, something that stays put is ideal.

Suggestions?  Recommendations?  Products to avoid completely?

yurbuds stay in my ears pretty well. The biggest complaint I have it the cord gets tangled into knots so easily.

I don't run with headphones, but have tried a few different styles in stores.

Depending on your price range, JayBird makes "BlueBuds" where are Bluetooth...they run about $150

Motorola also sells a Bluetooth earbud that costs about $100. Those "wrap around" so not sure how you'd like that.

I got a pair of Bose noise canceling earbuds that ROCK with the quality of sound.....but I only use them on the trainer, so not sure about the running.

I run with SkullCandy Chops or with X-1 Audio Trax. Both are earbud style, but with the part that wraps around the top of the ear to hold them in place a little better.

I have an X-1 20% off discount code if you decide to go that route.

I don't run outside with headphones, but for when I'm on the dreadmill I use fairly inexpensive JVC ones with the bit that goes over your ear to help hold them in place.  They're the best ones I've had yet for actually staying in my ear and staying put.

X2 on these! I got these when the stock set that came with my ipod died and I really like them. Sound good, stay put, and reasonably priced.

I've been using these sony's for a few years now. Sound decent, don't move around and despite my sweating like a pig I have not managed to kill them yet. I can kill a set of apple earbuds in one workout. These are less than $30 too.

I like the yurbuds.  They are decently comfortable.  I think something hanging on my ear would make me nuts as my blue tooth really hurts sometimes

I bought Yurbuds yesterday, but haven't run with them yet. They seem comfortable and I like the way the lock in. I hated when the earbuds would fall out or have to be adjusted. I picked them because they are sweat resistant. My last pair obviously wasn't because they broke and the inside was rusting. Pretty gross. For $30 I think they'll work great.

I use the sony $15 ear buds from Target. I bought 3 pair right away as they were on sale for $12 and I wondered if they would break quickly. I have not run 300 miles in the first pair, and I sweat A LOT, and they have never broken, both ears still work, and they never fall out of my ear. The two back up pairs are still in their box as the first one keeps on going, and going, and going...

Full disclosure- I'm on Team X-1, but I do honestly think they have the best earbuds out there. Completely waterproof, and they sound exceptional.

+1 on the X1 Trax.  And I see no point to throw my code out there too.

I'm about to try the Momentums as well, but I love the Trax.

For about three years I used the Nike+ Vapor headphones and loved them. That was until the cat chewed through the cord. My wife bought me the Yurbuds Focus Pro for Christmas and they are awesome! I would recommend either.

i'm so glad i started this thread...i would have just gone to target and bought the cheapest crappiest earbuds and been pissed off.

i'm not going to be a baller like b-rad with $150 earbuds, but with the discount codes and the current sales on X-1 buds online....looks like i'm getting some sweet new headphones!

thanks, BT!

I have Bose in-hear headphones with yurbud attachments.  Great sound and they never come out.

I must sweat a lot more than like a pig, because I've killed 3 sets of those specific headphones.  Yurbuds have been one of the best investments in my long runs.

These look pretty sweet, I like the mic attachment so you can answer the phone if need be.

The discounts won't stack, I've tried.  Once you log in with a code, the price will show the bigger of the discounts that apply, so the 25% off special will be the dominant price. Most of the "rider" or "team" codes are for 20% off.

They are no good to run in, but judging from the amount of time my kids spend under them, "Beats" seem to be the real deal.

If you like oppressive amounts of bass, they're great.

I just got a pair of these this weekend, and find them much more "natural" than the Beats.

My kids were simply amazed that the sound could get from the phone to the headphones without any wires.

They're a little heavy, but otherwise extremely comfy.   Completely not suitable for working out, but I feel like I could wear them all day at work.

This is the first pair of "premium" headphones I've ever had.  I'm hearing things in my music that I've never heard before.   Amazing.

Last week I asked the same question on here albeit on the tri talk forum.  I went with these...  Someone recommended them from here.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038W0K2K/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So far I have ran 3x with them and I love them!  They sound pretty good and are cheap!  I read the reviews and they get very good feedback as well.

I wouldn't be too keen to run outside with a set of headphones that " effectively isolates you from outside sounds."
