There's a discount code Louiskie sent me. I think 10% off. I'll have to look it up.

Code is 50states...might only work for the marathon though. So do the marathon qrkid. You know you wanna.

That's it!

BTW, I just got an email that the price increases soon. BTW2, there's Masters prize money!

there is Masters money. $400 for 1st master in the HM. Problem. Some dude ran 72:30 last year. Problem 2. I would be lucky to make it to the bottom of my driveway at the moment.. Add those 2 problems together and I don't think the masters money is within reach.

I just checked. the code works for the HM.

I seem to remember a 75 min run in 2012 at the Wrightsville Beach Half thrown down by some guy with the initials DL.

Tour de Cure double century.

Probably the Tuna 200 Relay Run again.

Then maybe Medoc Trail Marathon.

No tris at present.

Anybody else doing Assault on the Carolina's? It's a great metric century (or shorter version) ride in April. It sells out before January 1st.

I'll do 3 Pigs and Pinehurts again. Not sure what else. I am done with longer stuff (except metric centurys). I never got the ironman bug, one was enough for me

Assault on the Carolinas looks awesome. Too bad it's in April, though!

You're done with longer stuff? Say it ain't so! B2B is an awesome race! You should do it!

B2B is the one (and only and double I have ever thought of going ) Iron she has done. Look at her avatar it is a tattoo on her arm (I think) of the B2B logo.

She'll be back. The iron distance siren call is just too strong.

Haha, thanks for stalking my profile! Yes, I did B2B in 2009. And I never felt compelled to do another Ironman after that.

The run was just too frikkin painful. My line - that line after which it becomes very difficult to continue - came at mile 7 of the run. That meant I had to suffer through 19 miles of excruciating pain. That sucked.

How do you guys do it going back for more pain?

Just like that you both registered? Oh man, now I have to seriously consider doing it. I'll get a couple of weeks past this weekend and see how things feel. Although as louiskie points out, we would only see d00d at the start and finish. He could bring pizza down to the finish for us Louis!

scott, are ya, or aren't ya? great base for the year!

maybe we can have a BT gathering. we can all dress like triathletes and talk bad about roadies.

We should all run the race pushing our bikes, complaining about the long transition area!

this might start getting pricey. Going to have to get Newtons or Hoka's, compression socks and also the latest rage the sleeved tri suit. We need to invent an aero run cap maybe.

qrkid, I would just be happy if you finished the race wearing the socks and shirt you started in...

you are a funny man.
I have now reevaluated my goals.

Goal 1. Make it to race day
Goal 2. Finish with all the pieces of clothing that I start with.
Goal 3. If I can hit goals 1 & 2 well then anything else is gravy.

odn't bother with Newtons, they've fallen out of fashion, as have compression socks, but Hokas and long sleeve tri suits are the new rage. the long sleeve tri suit will (ahem) make you faster on the run and it's probably a bey0tch to take off, so you can't go wrong with that! but, if it is cold enough, you could run with your wetsuit and a swim cap!

Sweet! I have Hokas. Can I still excuse my slowness by saying that I went too hard on the bike?

d00d, I have started running again but I'm taking it slow (literally). I'm just going to see how things go. Even if I don't do it I'll come hang with you guys. I'd run with you like Bill did with me but there's no way I could keep up.

Definitely still taking in the off season after the IMMD, can't seem to crawl back to the pool! Trying to let everything heal before I run again as well... I am thinking possibly the IMMD again next year, and I would like to do a half somewhere before...

I'm now considering doing the Chattanooga IM 70.3 in May. Anyone done it? Or, any of you local guys (d00d, Louiskie, fgump,...) want to do it with me?

Ugh, sounds tempting! I don't know that I can be ready though---just running a lot now and not riding at all. I'll mull though. Always fun to train for the same race with a friend!

Pretty sure I'm not going to do ANY tris in 2015.  Run focus until 2/15, then back in the saddle for a double century with Tour de Cure, then probably run focus again for Tuna Run, then maybe a late season marathon.

Chatt's a nice town, it would be a fun event.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
