Good morning BT!

4:45am:  3 mile run

5:15am:  :40 minutes lower body/core

Off to school early today--I need to get caught up on all sorts of grading and planning...bad teacher!

Have a great day BT!

5:30 - 3 mile run after taking 8 days off. This month is "off" and totally unstructured. Debating whether to just wing it, or whether to choose something specific (but different) to do in October.

Have a great day!

Epic day here--We have no classes and a big conference (workshop) at school tomorrow and Saturday with teachers from international schools all over Asia. Had no idea it actually started today and I had to be there from 5:30 to 8:30 tonight. So it was a pretty epic day. 13 hours at school with pretty much no break except 15 minutes for lunch; did get in about an hour (well, 52 minutes) of swimming between kids leaving and start of conference.

Ugh. My prep times keep getting cancelled due to unscheduled meetings and special events. Parent conferences next week. It would take me almost a full week of no classes to "catch up" at this point. Seriously thinking about cancelling my fall break trip...or retiring!

45 min burst style HIT workout followed by a easy pace 3.5 mile run.

The colder weather is on its way in OK. Lifted weights for 45 minutes. One kiddo came home so I had to eliminate the run.

My trouble is this: I work overnights, 11pm-7am. How many hours should I keep between workouts? What constitutes a 'day'? How does rearranging days affect the overall plans?

Triathlon is more than just three sports. For most of us it includes the real world of work, family and a host of other obligations. Only one problem: when and how much sleep should we get?

Improving speed in swimming is more than just doing a few sprints at the beginning and end of your workouts. It takes a little more thinking, but I promise there is no high level math involved!

I'm on the other side of the college-student desk. I'm the one with the red pen in my hand. Those of us with schedules that change from day to day actually have an advantage, I think.

One way to improve your speed is to do track work that totals the time and distance goal. The idea is to slowly condition your body to be comfortable at your goal pace.

Well its the middle of winter and there is 5 inches of snow on the ground and I am too cheap to buy a gym membership and take spinning classes, so what do I do?
