Subject: RE: 5.11.17 Thursday Training!I've had an unusual week at work, so training has been more off than usual. (worked day shift Monday and Tuesday, midnight shift Wednesday night, off today, days tomorrow... )
But since I was off today, I made it to the pool for the first time in a week. I only eked out 1300 yards, but 800 of it were sprint at race pace 25s. I did 2 freestyle, followed by 2 of a stroke (following IM sequence ).
Most of the time when I swim at the YMCA (which is most of the time ), I do a 300 cool down that is 75 yards freestyle followed by 25 breast times 3. I do that because one of their lifeguards snubbed me about a year ago stating that I can almost swim good enough to be a lifeguard there. Well, their annual swim test is 300 yards that has to include at least one length of freestyle and one of breaststroke, and no other strokes. So now I use their swim test as my cool down.
